In the fourth part of the anime adaptation titled “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War“, the production team has revealed a sneak peek at an impressive metamorphosis of Yoruichi Shihouin, which is set to appear in the anime’s concluding episodes. So far, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has unveiled the first three parts, adapting the final arc from Tite Kubo’s original “Bleach ” manga. This new anime series has allowed fans to enjoy many scenes that were never animated before, as well as exclusive scenes and transformations that were conceived but not included in the manga due to various reasons.

Despite all the recently introduced Bankai and intense fight sequences, more battles lie ahead before Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War reaches its conclusion. In this part, the anime will depict the remaining battles between Soul Reapers and Yhwach’s final Sternritter troops. One of these fights is hinted at from Part 3’s last episodes: Yoruichi versus Askin Nakk Le Varr. Since her standard Shunko isn’t sufficient for this formidable opponent, Urahara advises her to unleash her full power using a special ability. Initially hesitant, she refuses. However, Kisuke intervenes and coerces her into activating it by administering an injection into her that will only last a brief while.

Ultimately, Yoruichi unleashes her Shunko: Raiju Senkei: Shunryu Kokubyo Senki – a transformation where she assumes a fierce, feline form. In this state, her body is cloaked in furious lightning energy that conceals her private areas. During the metamorphosis, Yoruichi temporarily loses her human consciousness and exhibits more bestial traits, which proves crucial for her victory in combat. This transformation was quite shocking to witness in Kubo’s manga, and it appears that the anime will stick closely to this form in its adaptation, though minor alterations are possible before the final release. For now, these initial designs suggest a faithful portrayal of the Shunko form.
