Doctor’s Wife Seeks Restraining Order After Husband’s Attempted Murder

Arielle Konig is taking legal action.

36-year-old woman has obtained and been approved for a protective order against her husband, Gerhardt Konig, following his arrest for attempted murder. The arrest stems from accusations that he assaulted her with a rock and tried to push her off a cliff during a hike in Hawaii, allegedly committing these acts.

As a faithful follower reporting events, I’m sharing details from a petition that Arielle submitted, which was obtained by NBC News and also reviewed here at TopMob News. In this document, Arielle outlines the incident she experienced with Gerhardt on March 24th. According to her account, the event unfolded with Gerhardt attempting to pull me towards the precipice of a cliff, an act which she claims included his attempt to inject me with an unidentified substance using a syringe. Furthermore, she alleges that he struck my head multiple times with a nearby rock.

Arielle expressed her concern that if Gerhardt is freed from detention, he may return to Maui with the intention of causing harm or even killing her, their children Olin (born in 2020) and Viggo (born in 2023), as well as other family members. She has asked for a Temporary Restraining Order to ensure our safety and that of our family.

Based on documents examined by TopMob News, Arielle was eventually granted a 180-day restraining order. The presiding judge determined that there is reason to believe past instances of abuse have occurred or that threats of abuse indicate a likelihood of future acts of abuse from the respondent.

Additionally, the document mentions about Gerhardt: “The court has determined that the defendant owns, aims to acquire or holds a weapon such as a firearm (including stun guns or Tasers). This weapon could potentially be used to intimidate, harm, or mistreat an individual.

In my professional expertise, I’d like to clarify a legal arrangement I’ve been involved with: A protective order has been established to ensure a safe distance for all parties involved. This means that Gerhardt is prohibited from reaching out to Arielle, making threats or causing any form of physical harm, approaching within 100 feet (or roughly 30 meters) of her, and also staying away from places she resides, works, or attends school.

This order extends to their children, Olin and Viggo, as well as Arielle’s family members, including her mother and stepfather, and Gerhardt’s son Emile, who lives with Arielle. In essence, this order is designed to maintain a peaceful environment for everyone involved.

As stated in Arielle’s petition, she claims that Gerhardt made a call via FaceTime with Emile during the period when he was reported to have escaped from the scene of the alleged assault on Arielle, up until his apprehension by the police several hours later.

In her note about the reported FaceTime incident, Arielle mentioned that Gerhardt appeared to be drenched in blood. Gerhardt admitted, “I attempted to harm Arielle, but she managed to escape,” and further shared his intention of ending his life by leaping from a cliff with Emile.

Gerhardt was arrested and accused of attempting to commit second-degree murder, for which he’s now awaiting trial while out on a $5 million bond.

According to information given to TopMob News, Arielle’s legal representative stated: “Currently, Arielle is prioritizing her healing at home on Maui, surrounded by her loved ones. For the sake of their personal space, we humbly request that the media and public grant them privacy while they go through this process.

Previously, TopMob News reached out to a legal representative for Gerdhardt, however, we were unsuccessful in finding an attorney willing to take on the case.
