South Park Season 27 Premiere Date Revealed With First Trailer

The comedy network Comedy Central declared that the popular show “South Park” will resume for its 27th season on July 9, 2023, following a brief six-episode season 26. The latest trailer hints at South Park being in flames, multiple plane crashes, America under siege by Canada and French Canadians, and the boys – Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny – in an extraterrestrial setting along with Sean “Diddy” Combs. In simpler terms, the humorously controversial series will be back on air, depicting a chaotic situation involving America under attack by Canada, while our heroes find themselves among aliens and Diddy.

The final moments of the 80-second preview feature a chilling repeat of “Blame Canada,” an Academy Award-nominated tune from the 1999 film “South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut“. Take a look at the new trailer here.

Two years have passed since the last standard episode of the long-running series “Spring Break” was aired. Since 2021, Paramount+ has been broadcasting exclusive streaming specials for “South Park.” The first new special, titled “South Park: Joining the Panderverse“, premiered in October 2023, followed by “South Park (Not Suitable for Children)” in December of the same year and “South Park: The End of Obesity” in May 2024.

The creators of the popular show South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, serve as executive producers, joined by Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II who have been with the series for a long time in executive roles. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, and Vernon Chatman take on producer responsibilities. Christopher Brion holds the position of Creative Director at South Park Digital Studios.

South Park season 27 premieres July 9 on Comedy Central.
