The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition announced

Nintendo has unveiled “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Edition for Nintendo Switch 2” for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. This game is set to release in conjunction with the device on June 5.

As an excited fan, I want to share that if you’re among those who own or have bought the original game for Nintendo Switch, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade it to the “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.” To do this, simply grab the game’s upgrade pack from either Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store, or retailers. Once upgraded, the initial Switch game can still be enjoyed on your Nintendo Switch; however, only the enhanced features and content of the “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” will work on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. The updated version of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” for the Nintendo Switch, known as the “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition,” will come with these enhancements:

* Support for new controller features
* Optimized performance for the latest Nintendo console hardware
