Devil May Cry series pays tribute to star Kevin Conroy after his death, aged 66

At the end of each episode, a small tribute reads: “In memory of Kevin Conroy (1955-2022)”.

The actor gained fame primarily for lending his voice to Batman across various DC productions such as Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures, and Justice League.

Apart from his roles released posthumously, he lent his voice to Batman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, MultiVersus, and Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Episode Three.

The series was filmed prior to Conroy’s death, and the show’s creator, Adi Shankar, stated on X (previously known as Twitter) that “No artificial intelligence was used. Mr. Conroy delivered an exceptionally nuanced performance. It was a privilege and an honor to collaborate with him.

In a tribute, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Dante, acknowledged it as a privilege to collaborate with Kevin Conroy on the forthcoming DMC series.
