Shocking Secrets of Ross and Joel Unveiled in EastEnders!

EastEnders unveiled a fresh enigma concerning the latest arrivals, Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) and Joel Marshall (Max Murray).

Earlier this week on BBC One’s soap opera, the duo made their appearances, along with character Vicki Fowler, who is now portrayed by Alice Haig upon her return to the show.

Vicki and Ross’s romance has sparked debate due to its origins in infidelity. Specifically, Vicki was unfaithful to Spencer Moon, Alfie Moon’s younger brother, who she was involved with, by being with his close friend instead.

Initially, it seemed like Vicki had traveled to Walford for her uncle Martin Fowler’s funeral, but it turned out she had another reason as well – she required a significant amount of money to settle some debts. Interestingly, these debts were not actually shared with Ross, but were solely his own.

On Wednesday’s broadcast, Sharon discovered that Vicki had been dishonest after receiving a call from Michelle Fowler, which left her very upset.

On Thursday, there was a confrontation between Vicki and Sharon where she clarified the matter. This occurred shortly after Ross was asked to depart, and Sharon accused her sister of being as untrustworthy as their father, Den Watts. (In this episode, Vicki presented the facts to Sharon during a heated exchange following Ross’s dismissal, with Sharon implying that her sister was as dishonest as their father, Den Watts.)

Vicki revealed how much she loved Ross and how her relationship with Spencer was growing stale.

Instead of stating that Ross was married at the time they started dating, Vicki disclosed that an extremely expensive divorce left Ross in debt to unsavory individuals whom he must repay now.

In response to their constant bickering, Vicki attempted to create discord among Sharon, Michelle, and even sought financial aid from Sharon’s relative, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). However, Sharon was enraged by this behavior and categorically declined any financial assistance as well as help from Ian.

In Kathy’s Cafe, Spencer’s former sister-in-law Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) labeled Ross as a “home wrecker.” Meanwhile, during this encounter, Ross was observed taking a call and comforting an unidentified individual on the other end of the line, promising them they would soon receive the money they were due.

As I watched unfold, it was me who saw Joel engaging in friendly banter with Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), and later forming a bond with Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall). Yet, amidst this blossoming camaraderie, Alfie’s warnings about the complicated past between their families lingered.

At Sonia’s residence, Sharon consulted her dearest friend, Linda Carter (portrayed by Kellie Bright), about the predicament with Vicki. Linda cautioned that Vicki might be endangered due to whoever Ross is indebted to, leaving Sharon with a concern to mull over.

Later on, Vicki managed to meet up with Ross and shared with him her hope that Sharon would be able to comprehend the situation, considering her past divorce experiences.

Upon Sharon’s arrival, the couple were preparing to depart, but Sharon inquired about the amount due. It turned out to be approximately £25,000. Touched by her affection for Vicki and her desire to care for her, Sharon agreed to take on this debt. Ross consented to repay Sharon in regular installments.

Yet, by the end of the episode, Ross found himself in conversation with Joel in the town square. It turned out that the debt, initially thought to be Ross’s, was actually Joel’s all along!

I’ve fulfilled my part of the agreement, now it’s your turn to do the same. I’ve found myself deeply in debt due to our situation, and I prefer that this isn’t made public.

It seems like Joel’s finding himself in some kind of difficulty; could this potentially involve Tommy as well, leading to a situation they might later come to regret? As for Vicki, when will she become privy to the hidden happenings around here?
