Today’s post from Katie, dated April 4th on Instagram, features a beautiful sunset scene with her husband Jeff Arcuri. The caption reads: “Today I was scheduled to begin chemotherapy.” She had all the necessary preparations in place: cold cap, cold socks, snacks, blankets, medications, and entertainment at the ready. Her aunt Lindsey was set to visit for support during recovery this weekend. But yesterday, she received a call with surprising news – her latest pathology results on her liver, breast, and lymph nodes showed HER2 Negative status, despite the initial samples from Kaiser being HER2 positive.

She mentioned that she was just a few minutes from administering her steroid before chemotherapy preparation, but instead, she’s going to see her doctor to understand how this situation occurred, determine the required tests, and discuss its implications for her revised treatment strategy.

In my perspective as a lifestyle expert, I’d express it like this: At age 34, I find myself feeling relieved after deciding to postpone chemotherapy for now. However, I can’t help but feel a sense of uncertainty about the implications of this decision on my journey ahead.

Katie shared, “I really ought to feel enthusiastic about it, but for the past two months, I’ve had three separate diagnostic updates. I believe that being meticulous and seeking a second opinion from another doctor have played a crucial role in my early cancer treatment process.

Yesterday, the celebrity announced that her physician had advised her to delay preparing her chemotherapy bag, a piece of news that left her puzzled.

She expressed on her Instagram Stories on April 3 that she wants to see something positive in the situation, but the ongoing series of tests and doctors feels like a dizzying whirlwind, leaving her bewildered. Her main lesson from this experience? Always seek a second medical opinion.

Later on, Katie made it clear that this might be positive news, yet she went on expressing her concerns about the various instructions she’s received throughout her treatment process.
