Jinger Duggar is prioritizing the safety of her children.
A short while following the arrival of their third child, Finnegan Charles Vuolo, the former star of 19 Kids and Counting explained why she and her husband Jeremy Vuolo, who have been married for eight years and are also parents to daughters Felicity (age 6) and Evangeline (age 4), choose to keep their children away from the public eye.
In response to a fan’s question during an Instagram Q&A, asking Jinger to show her daughters and inquiring if one of them has any special needs, the 31-year-old explained that such speculations strengthen her choice to maintain privacy around her children’s lives.
During the April 3 Q&A session, Jinger said, “I haven’t addressed this question before, but I must clarify that it has circulated as a rumor for quite some time. That’s why we prefer to keep our children’s identities private.
The “Counting On” celebrity clarified that folks frequently desire to view their children, and she and her husband Jeremy prefer not to expose their kids to the harsh judgments some people may make.
“It’s honestly just sad,” Jinger noted, “to see these comments come in.”
In my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, I’d like to clarify a point: Although I’ve never confirmed any rumors about one of my children having a disability, I’d like everyone to understand that our family dynamics wouldn’t shift if such a situation were true. We’re all about love, understanding, and inclusion, just as every family should be.
Jinger, one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children, shared: “We are fortunate to have three healthy kids. Regardless if God had given us a child with a medical condition, it wouldn’t affect how we present them on social media. Every life is precious and a gift from God!
Indeed, it was just five days prior that the couple welcomed their baby boy.
In a YouTube video posted on March 30th, Jinger remarked, “The baby is doing wonderfully!” She sat next to Jeremy, who was lovingly cradling our newborn. Although I’m feeling quite tired, the delivery itself went remarkably well. I am incredibly grateful to God for blessing us with this robust and healthy baby boy in our lives.
Moreover, as they joyfully expanded their family since their wedding in 2016, it was Jeremy who confessed that Felicity and Evangeline were likely the happiest about this development.
Jeremy mentioned in the video that one particularly memorable experience for them was when the girls had a chance to visit the hospital and make acquaintance with this tiny newborn, and so did his family.
Introducing a delightful new family member, let’s delve into the full Duggar family genealogy!
A fresh face has joined our family – explore further to discover the extensive Duggar family tree.
Originally a pair of high school sweethearts, these parents of 19 children (and grandparents to more than three dozen) began their journey together.
Michelle mentioned experiencing being rescued at the age of 15. On a particular evening, Jim Bob was out conducting house visits as part of his Baptist church’s outreach efforts. He was informed by a friend that “a schoolgirl who recently found faith and is a cheerleader” resided in the Ruark family household, so he paid them a visit.
They asked Michelle to attend Sunday school at their church, and Jim Bob mentioned that he hoped they could guide each other spiritually—however, it seems Michelle didn’t find their initial encounter particularly noteworthy. A year later, she applied for a position at the frozen yogurt store owned by Jim Bob’s parents. In a 2017 blog post commemorating Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd wedding anniversary, Michelle recalled their first meeting: “You stood behind the counter where I was working, and after some shyness, you introduced yourself. You were kind and timid, but eventually asked me to attend your junior-senior banquet with you!
She went to a dinner with him at Shiloh Christian, but it wasn’t until they spent hours discussing the Bible at her parents’ house afterward that she felt their bond deepen. As Michelle put it, “Our hearts became one from that moment on.” They graduated high school in May of 1984 and got married in July, with Michelle being 17 and Jim Bob being 19.
The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.
Jim Bob previously held the position of a state legislator, representing Arkansas’s sixth district in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. During this time, he served as vice-chair of the Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. In 2002, he made an unsuccessful attempt to secure a seat in the U.S. Senate during the primary election. Similarly, his run for the Republican nomination for Arkansas State Senate District 35 in 2006 was also unsuccessful.
They, along with Michelle, who are both real estate agents with valid licenses, have been actively involved in conservative movements – a part of their lifestyle that has made them both ardent supporters and vocal critics of the show “19 Kids and Counting,” which debuted as “17 Kids and Counting” in 2008.
As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.
Back in 1988, I was blessed with the arrival of the eldest Duggar, none other than Josh himself, on the 3rd of March. Just like his family, he’s got a passion for conservatism that burns brightly. He’s made waves, advocating tirelessly for causes close to his heart, notably the Family Research Council.
In 2015, police records from the past emerged, accusing him of inappropriate behavior towards several girls, including his sisters Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar, when he was a teenager. After these allegations surfaced, Josh Duggar stepped down from his position. Later, in an interview with Fox News in June, Jessa Duggar defended her brother, stating that the accusations people were making against him were “excessive and false,” as she had been one of the victims herself.
His wife, Anna Duggar, who exchanged vows with him during their wedding on September 26, 2008 (a ceremony highlighted on the show “19 Kids and Counting), stood by his side even following his confession of infidelity.
In 2016, when he admitted himself to a rehabilitation facility, his parents referred to it as “an essential initial move towards recuperation and healing.
The parents of Mackynzie (born October 8, 2009), Michael (June 15, 2011), Marcus (June 2, 2013), and later Anna, had four more children. On July 16, 2015, the day TLC canceled “19 Kids,” they welcomed their fourth child, Meredith. Their fifth child, Mason Garett, was born on September 12, 2017, followed by Maryella Hope on November 27, 2019. Lastly, their seventh child, Madyson Lily, joined the family on October 23, 2021.
Back in April 2021, a federal indictment accused Josh of two separate charges: receiving and possessing child pornography. On both counts, he pleaded not guilty. In 2022, he was convicted of both offenses, though the possession charge was later dismissed by the judge. As a result, he was given a sentence of 12 and a half years in prison.
Not long after Josh’s birth, Michelle conceived another child, but unfortunately experienced a miscarriage. As they mourned this loss and sought divine guidance, they discovered they were expecting twins.
She shared that it felt like a special gift, as if God was providing comfort for her heart. Despite being in a learning process, she finds the circumstances quite extraordinary. What makes it even more unique is that she breastfeeds her babies, yet her children are so close in age – just eight months separate them. It seems that the Lord has chosen to work in an extraordinary way within their specific situation.
John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.
Following a long acquaintance that spanned several years (they had known each other previously), with their encounter taking place at a church gathering in Oklahoma, which was Abbie’s home state, John David and Abbie-Grace Burnett tied the knot on November 3, 2018.
On January 7, 2020, they happily welcomed their daughter Grace Annette Duggar into their family, and they embraced son Charlie Duggar in September 2022.
On her 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana penned a heartfelt note to John saying, “From when we were kids, people have often wondered if we share some sort of twin intuition – the kind where you sense what the other person is feeling or thinking…Well, John, I’ve always denied it, but when little Gracie was born, I felt every ounce of joy that you did, so perhaps there really is something to it!
Jana went on to say, “It’s just delightful to see you and Abbie in your parental roles! You both seem so natural at it! The very traits that make you a fantastic brother will undoubtedly make you an exceptional father as well.
11 out of Jana’s 18 siblings got married before she met her husband, Stephen Wissmann, whose sister Hannah Wissmann is married to one of Jana’s brothers, Jeremiah. Although she experienced some annoyances along the way, Jana believed that everything was part of God’s design for her life.
In August 2024, just before her wedding, Jana explained to People that she hasn’t always grasped the overall scheme of things, but she trusts that God knows what’s best for everyone. Consequently, she chose to marry later in life. She believes that each person’s tale will unfold uniquely; if we were all identical, it would make existence monotonous.
Born on May 17, 1991, Jill Duggar Dillard had a romantic tale similar to her parents’, as she first encountered Derick, who lived approximately 45 minutes away, during Christmas 2011. This chance meeting occurred when he visited the Duggar family home while out singing carols with his church group.
Jim Bob acted as cupid, and Jill and Derick found a connection, nurturing their bond through emails and video calls. Later in November, they decided to meet in person when the father and daughter visited Derick in Nepal. Their relationship continued to blossom, leading up to Derick proposing to Jill in February 2014. The couple got married on June 21, 2014, and have since welcomed three sons: Israel (born April 6, 2015), Samuel (born July 8, 2017), and Frederick (born July 7, 2022).
Come April 2024, I, with a heart full of sorrow, found myself compelled to share the tragic news – a miscarriage we had endured, our long-awaited little girl who was meant to be Derick’s and mine.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets“, which debuted in June 2023, Jill and Derick delved into the debated religious beliefs and family issues portrayed within their family.
Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.
Jessa became acquainted with Ben via church, and he started pursuing her romantically in 2013 – this traditional method of courtship was quite novel for many spectators. Prior to their engagement, the couple didn’t discuss their relationships openly, so Jim Bob clarified to People, “Courting involves getting to know each other in a group setting, with both families spending time together and the pair setting goals to decide if they are destined for marriage. Dating typically involves couples spending time alone, which can sometimes lead to more physical intimacy.
In August 2014, Ben proposed to Jessa, marking the start of their engagement. They sealed this moment by holding hands for the first time. Their wedding took place on November 1, 2014. When Jessa was expecting their first child, the show “19 Kids and Counting” was taken off air. TLC followed up with a special program about sexual abuse, which included interviews with Jill and Jessa, to educate viewers on the topic. That winter, they became the main stars of a new show titled “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.” This series eventually expanded to include other Duggar siblings, becoming known as “Counting On.
Over November 5, 2015, Jessa and Ben became parents to their firstborn, Spurgeon. Then came Henry on February 6, 2017, followed by Ivy Jane on May 28, 2019, and Fern in July 2021. Unfortunately, Jessa experienced a miscarriage during the 2022 holiday season. However, she went on to give birth to her fifth child, George, in December 2023.
The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.
Jinger and Jeremy first encountered each other while serving in a ministry in Laredo, Texas, and their romantic relationship began in 2016. They tied the knot on November 5, 2016, which also happened to be their nephew Spurgeon’s birthday (a fact that can get a bit crowded when you’re one of 19!). Soon after their wedding, whispers about a possible pregnancy started circulating.
In a year from now, we anticipate that we’ll be comfortably established, continuing our ministry here in Laredo, and simply aiming to serve the Lord in whatever capacity we can. This is what Jinger expressed during a June 2017 episode of Counting On.
On July 19, 2018, their beloved child named Felicity came into the world. It was in May of that same year that they announced Jinger’s second pregnancy, along with the sad news of a miscarriage she had experienced the previous autumn. In November 2020, Evangeline Jo joined their family as their newest addition.
Son Finnegan Charles was born March 29, 2025.
Born on January 20, 1995, Joseph Duggar found himself proposing to Kendra, whom he had met through church, during the romantic setting of his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May 2017. After only a few months of courtship, he popped the question.
Joseph shared with People that he was undeniably anxious before proposing, but he wasn’t worried she would decline because she had expressed, “I’m just waiting for you!” After the proposal, Kendra exclaimed, “I am so happy and so surprised. There are so many things I want to say, but all I can feel is shocked.
Since then, they’ve revealed the births of son Garrett (born in June 2018), daughter Addison (born in November 2019), and another daughter, Brooklyn, who joined the family in February 2021.
Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.
A mere few months after their relationship became public knowledge, the duo revealed their engagement in March 2018. In a statement, he explained that the location where he proposed to Lauren was the very same spot where her parents had been engaged. He added that this property held significant family history for Lauren, making it a particularly meaningful place for her.
In a video shared on their blog, Michelle (who will be Lauren’s mother-in-law) expressed her affection for Lauren, saying “Lauren is a truly treasured girl.” Jessa and Ben also extended their congratulations along with some chocolate shaped like x’s and o’s. Michelle then playfully hinted at giving them a sweet reward if they came closer by showing it to them, saying “I think you might want to save your first kiss for your wedding day, but if you come over here we’ll give you…
In the summer of 2015, a relationship with Marjorie Jackson ended amicably and they chose separate paths. As he shared with People magazine in March 2016, Josiah fondly remembered their time together. “We were just trying to listen to God’s guidance on everything,” he said. “She felt it wasn’t the right moment for us then, so we took a break for a while.
On June 30, 2018, they got married, and they told People that their wedding day was “just perfect.” Their first daughter, Bella Milagro, was born on Nov. 8, 2019, which means “miracle baby,” as they had previously experienced a miscarriage in October 2018. They welcomed another daughter, Daisy, in 2022 and a son named Ezra in May 2023.
Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.
She had been friends with Austin Forsyth for fifteen years before their courtship began, a union that did not delay once it started. He popped the question in February 2017, and they tied the knot on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – the same church where Joseph proposed to Kendra.
Joy-Anna and Austin became parents to Gideon Martin Forsyth on February 23, 2018, Evelyn Mae Forsyth on August 21, 2020, and Gunner James Forsyth on May 17, 2023.

On December 30, 1998, the second pair of twins for Jim Bob and Michelle, named Jed Duggar and Jeremiah Duggar, were welcomed into the world.
In the spring of 2021, Jed tied the knot with Katey Nakatsu, following a year-long romance. They are now proud parents to their son Truett, who was born in May 2022, and daughter Nora Kate, who came into the world in June 2023.
In July 2024, Jed and Katey shared the joyous news of their upcoming twin girls, and on January 8, 2025, they welcomed their lovely daughters, Elsie Kate and Emma Kate, into the world.
Jeremiah, a qualified flight instructor, is married to Hannah Wissmann (sister of Stephen, Jana’s husband), and together they are the proud parents of daughter Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.
They announced in Decemeber 2024 that their third daughter is on the way.
No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.
In January 2017, according to the Daily Mail, Jim Bob assisted Jase in purchasing a $33,000 property requiring repairs in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which is approximately 30 minutes from the Duggar family’s main residence. Subsequently, he established his own construction company.
In May 2024, he made their relationship Instagram-official with Maddie Grace, and they got married the next October.
Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.
He doesn’t have a public romantic relationship yet, but he’s very loving as an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
On his 19th birthday in 2019, mom Michelle posted: “James is our beloved ‘fun uncle,’ and all the young lads around here admire him greatly, aspiring to emulate him!” James has always been quite resourceful and ingenious. As a child, we often discovered him tinkering with various household appliances. He’s the type who enjoys taking things apart, understanding their inner workings, and making improvements—occasionally adding his own unique twists!
This year, James dedicated himself tirelessly to earning his Commercial Driver’s License. Now, he’s a seasoned professional when it comes to maneuvering large trucks and heavy equipment. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the wonderful plans that lay ahead for him in the time to come!
No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
In September 2020, he made their relationship with Claire Spivey known to the public. They became engaged a month later in November, and they tied the knot on February 26, 2021.
In the company of his elder sibling, Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifteenth child, Jackson Duggar, made his arrival on May 23, 2004.
On his sixteenth birthday, Michelle, Jackson’s mother, applauded his wit and mentioned her anticipation that he was eagerly waiting to obtain his driver’s license.
Johannah Duggar was born on October 11, 2005, which was the basis for the initial family reality show titled “16 Kids and Growing Up Together“.
In a post on her daughter’s 15th birthday in 2020, Michelle expressed that her daughter is incredibly lively and enjoys meeting new people. She added that her younger sisters idolize her as if she were the moon itself, and Michelle couldn’t be more thankful to God for allowing her to be this girl’s mother.
Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.
Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.
Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say: “On my niece’s 13th birthday, I proudly penned that she’s reliable, devoted… and simply delightful! The kids adore her so much that they often cling to her, hating for her to set them down. Not only does she have a heart of gold for children, but she also cherishes animals deeply. In fact, she’s unwaveringly dedicated to their daily care, and recently took on the responsibility of nurturing a whole litter of 7 little bunnies!
Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.
Back in 2019, Jordyn-Grace was described by her mother as an extroverted girl who seems to instantly connect with everyone she meets. Her laughter, my friend, is often one of the most radiant highlights of our daily lives.
Josie Duggar, seen cradling her niece Meredith here, was born on December 10, 2009. She arrived three months early, tipping the scales at just 1 pound, 6 ounces, and needed to stay for six months in a specialized newborn care unit, known as the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
On her baby’s 11th birthday in 2020, Michelle noted that Josie is full of vigor. From the moment she gets up in the morning to when she finally goes to sleep at night, there are few moments when she isn’t bustling about!
