WWE’s CM Punk Finally Reveals the Favor, but Did it Live Up to the Hype?

For months, WWE fans have been eagerly anticipating what CM Punk‘s major request entailed. Tonight on WWE SmackDown, the truth was finally unveiled. After instructing Paul Heyman to bring Roman Reigns to learn about the favor, Reigns made an appearance in the ring, accompanied shortly by Seth Rollins who simply wanted to observe. When Punk emerged, he disclosed that his request involved a friend, desiring Heyman to be in his corner at WrestleMania rather than Reigns’. Though Reigns hesitated, Heyman couldn’t refuse Punk, causing a significant shift in Reigns’ world. You can watch the complete segment in the video below.

Initially, Punk narrated an episode where he recounted the time Heyman stood up for him and refused to let him get fired by those who opposed him. Later on, Punk reminded Heyman of their agreement that when he headlined WrestleMania, it would be a joint achievement, not just his individual victory.

At that point, Punk made it clear to Reigns, “You’ll have to confront us, as at WrestleMania, during the main event, in my corner, your ally will be none other than my trusted friend, Paul Heyman.

Reigns was taken aback, trying to comprehend the situation as he joked, “Is that all? (Chuckles), Doesn’t that prove he cares for me? He relies on me. I rescued him. If I allowed it, he wouldn’t (chuckles).” Then, Reigns addressed Heyman and requested, “Could you soften the blow for this desperate character, please?

1) Heyman remained silent, leaving Reigns taken aback. This surprise morphed into irritation as Heyman grew more emotional, prompting Reigns to ask, “Are you tearing up? Dry them off and refuse him!” Once again hesitant, Heyman only fueled Reigns’ growing anger, who retorted, “I gave you shelter. I made you matter. Tell him no!

At this juncture, a wave of intense frustration washed over me as Punk continued to smirk. “I’m offering you one last chance, Heyman,” I said, but he responded, “I’m sorry, my Tribal Leader, I cannot comply with that request.” (Informal: “At this point, I was seething while Punk just smiled. ‘Give him one more chance,’ I told Heyman, but he shook his head and said, ‘No, my Chief, I can’t do that.'”)

In a jubilant mood, Rollins reveled in the chaos while Reigns confronted Heyman, who was imploring Reigns. Subsequently, Punk assaulted Reigns with the GTS, rendering him unconscious. This spectacle left Heyman visibly agitated, whereas Rollins, unable to hide his glee, exited the ring with a wide grin on his face.

It’s significant to mention that when Reigns was inducted into the Hall of Fame, he expressed that without Wiseman, the Tribal Chief would cease to exist. Currently, Reigns appears to be quite upset with Heyman, and if Heyman does indeed stand by Punk during their Triple Threat match at WrestleMania, it could signal a potential end to their partnership in the near future.
