As a die-hard Pokemon TCG enthusiast, I’ve found that the hobby can be quite challenging lately due to frequent stock shortages. However, it seems like things are gradually improving as Pokemon card restocks are becoming more regular. Even though the Scarlet & Violet – Prismatic Evolutions set will likely remain elusive despite upcoming restocks, some older sets have been popping up again on store shelves. Most recently, GameStop announced a restock of the Pokemon TCG – Knock Out Collection from January, which is hitting stores today. Although it’s not the Scarlet & Violet set, fans shouldn’t overlook these restocks because there are some amazing cards to be found!
The latest Limited Knock Out Series was initially unveiled in January 2025, slightly preceding the craze for Prismatic Evolutions. Due to this coincidental timing with Eeveelution releases, some enthusiasts might have overlooked this initial launch. These exclusive collections usually emerge annually, offering holographic cards of scarcely found Pokemon from recent mainline games. They also often include Pokemon Trading Card Game booster packs from the release period, in addition to sticker sheets.
Before Pokemon TCG enthusiasts jump with joy over the prospect of 2025 releases, it’s important to clarify that the Knock Out Collection restock appears to be focused on older sets. The latest Knock Out Collection includes foil cards for Chien-Pao or Alakazam, but neither of these Pokemon are listed in the GameStop restock announcement. Interestingly, every single Knock Out Collection of Pokemon cards is currently out of stock at the Pokemon Center, making this a unique chance to acquire these sought-after sets that are hard to come by.
Pokemon TCG GameStop Knock Out Collection Restock Details
As a dedicated Pokémon Trading Card Game fan, I’m thrilled to share that according to my own observations at local GameStop stores and an official online listing, the elusive Knock Out Collection TCG sets are making a comeback today, April 5th! It appears there will be two distinct sets available for purchase. The Boltund, Eiscue, and Galarian Sirfetch’d Knockout Collection, along with the Toxtricity, Duraludon, and Sandaconda set, are both scheduled to hit the shelves. These Knock Out Collections hail from the Galar era and were initially released in 2022. The booster packs accompanying these sets will be sourced from 2022 releases like Astral Radiance and Brilliant Stars. I can hardly wait to get my hands on these coveted sets!
Even though these Pokemon card packs are from an older restock, enthusiasts eager to open some tangible packs might consider buying them during GameStop’s latest restock. The sets are priced at $12.99 each, which is slightly higher than their original $9.99 Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), but it’s reasonable given the current market prices for Pokemon cards. In fact, it’s lower than what resellers on platforms like Amazon and TCG Player are currently charging for the same sets.
Just as I’ve noticed with the latest GameStop restocks of Pokemon TCG items, they aren’t available online. Instead, fellow enthusiasts should make a trip to their local GameStop store in person to check if they have any Knock Out Collection sets in stock. Fortunately, the listing site provides a link to help you find a GameStop near you, making it relatively simple to discover where your next Pokemon card adventure will take place. At the moment, it seems that other retailers aren’t restocking these sets, so GameStop appears to be the go-to choice if you’re on the hunt for them.
