The series “Witch Watch” has officially joined the bustling Spring 2025 anime lineup, with its opening being handled by the acclaimed director Megumi Ishitani, who gained significant recognition from her work on the “One Piece” series. In recent years, Ishitani’s talent was showcased prominently during the Wano Country Arc of “One Piece,” and their reputation skyrocketed further with the release of a new special, titled “One Piece Fan Letter.” This special remains one of the highest-rated episodes ever made, and fans have been captivated by Ishitani’s work ever since.

Currently, the director is focusing on “Witch Watch” this Spring, as it recently premiered last week. The Shonen Jump series is quite significant since it’s the next major franchise from the magazine to receive an official anime adaptation, and its opening certainly adds to its appeal.
