On the second day of Nintendo’s Treehouse: Live stream, we were treated to additional gameplay showcases for upcoming Switch 2 games, such as “Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World“. This enhanced version of the 2022 action platformer brings a fresh campaign where a strange meteor impacts the world.
Kirby ventures off to explore refurbished stages from his past, featuring fresh pathways (yet, you can opt for the originals on the world map). For instance, the initial stage showcases a skyscraper scarred by a meteor shard. The adversaries now possess unique assaults, and certain areas necessitate the activation of new switches to create platforms.
In the game titled “Star-Crossed World,” you’ll encounter fresh Jump and Drop Mechanics, such as a trampoline for leaping high into the air and landing heavily on adversaries. For those looking for an extra kick, there’s an option called “Wild Mode” where you can earn more coins by upping the difficulty level.
Kirby’s Return to the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Version with Star-Crossed World is set to release on August 28th, compatible with the Switch 2 console. If you already own the original Switch version, an upgraded version will be available for purchase as well.
