For those eagerly anticipating Season 8 of My Hero Academia, here’s some exciting news: A brand-new series set within the same universe is about to debut, offering a bridge to fill the gap until the next season arrives.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is derived from a separate manga series penned by author Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, which means it’s not based on the original work of Kohei Horikoshi who created My Hero Academia.
In this precursor tale, we delve into a narrative set five years prior to the primary comic book and animated series. Here, our new lead character goes by the name Koichi Haimawari.
Stepping into the well-known universe of My Hero Academia, I find myself observing a shift in the usual dynamic. Unlike many others, our character Koichi seems destined to take on the role of an unexpected hero, as this upcoming series appears to carry a somewhat somber undertone.
He’s a college student who didn’t quite make the cut for professional hero training due to his lackluster peculiarity, but eventually gets chosen by an extraordinary vigilante to combat criminal activities instead.
