La Quimera launches April 25

The first-person shooter game titled La Quimera, which tells a captivating story, is set to debut on April 25 for PC via Steam at a price of $29.99 / €29.99. As announced by the developer Reburn, a brief closed beta test will be accessible from April 12 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET for a 24-hour period. During this time, players can experience a crucial mid-game mission either solo or cooperatively.

Dmytro Lymar, Reburn’s co-founder and CEO, expressed his excitement about revealing the fruits of their labor on La Quimera, which is scheduled for April 25. In anticipation of the launch, he invites gamers to participate in our closed beta testing, offering them a sneak peek at the cooperative gameplay within Nuevo Caracas and beyond, reflecting our vision,” said Lymar in a statement.

About

La Quimera is a story-based first-person shooter game set in a dystopian future Latin America. In a broken world where small nations depend on mercenary forces, you find yourself ensnared in a net of deceit and falsehoods. You can play this game solo or with up to two companions, all equipped with advanced weaponry, exoskeletons, and fighting skills.

2064: Most nation states no longer exist. A sequence of natural and human-induced disasters in the 2030s and 2040s caused a global system breakdown, leading to the dissolution of communities. In this new world, political entities are often microstates, and despite ongoing conflicts between them and corporations, they find it unnecessary to maintain their own armies. Instead, they usually hire mercenary forces—the era of private military companies, or PMCs, has flourished.

In this role, you’ll embark on challenging, high-risk missions within a bleak future of Latin America. Your journey will traverse a stunning metropolis and dense jungles as you employ cutting-edge weapons and technology to combat opposing factions in an action-packed adventure.
