In less than a month, Marvel’s fresh crew will be steering the Marvel Cinematic Universe towards Doomsday, though their official title remains unannounced. However, what we do know is that this new Marvel adventure, tentatively titled Thunderbolts, is set to dominate movie theaters nationwide from May 2nd onwards. This upcoming MCU installment will be gracing premium screens such as IMAX, 4DX, and ScreenX upon its release.
Instead of just seeing a movie on a traditional screen or feeling it through 4DX, ScreenX offers an all-encompassing adventure by wrapping you with images that span beyond the conventional screen and envelop both sides of the audience. This 270-degree panoramic display creates an immersive theatrical experience as captivating as any. As we gear up for the upcoming release of Thunderbolts* in ScreenX cinemas within a fortnight, a fresh poster for the film has been unveiled.
The image displayed at the top features the Thunderbolts squad positioned atop a colossal asterisk – a symbol that has sparked intrigue due to its significant connection with the movie’s title, “Thunderbolts*“. This suggests that the name of the team featured in the film might undergo a change by the story’s end. It could potentially evolve into a new version of the Avengers or perhaps a Dark Avengers group. However, the specifics remain unknown for now; what we can gather is that the poster emphasizes the asterisk theme quite substantially.
Marvel’s Thunderbolts reunites a variety of characters from previous MCU stories, each occupying distinct positions on the hero spectrum. The reappearances include Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko). A notable newcomer to the series, so far as we’re aware, is Lewis Pullman, who will take on the role of Bob (aka Sentry).
Almost all the main actors are scheduled to reprise their roles in Avengers: Doomsday next year, indicating that the upcoming film, known as Thunderbolts*, will likely have a significant influence on the impending future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If they indeed form a new team similar to the Avengers, the Thunderbolts* could potentially take charge of the MCU when Doomsday arrives.
