Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are making do with a makeshift studio.
Following the departure of the Live show’s team from their Upper West Side studio, which had served as the recording location for 37 years with previous hosts Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford, they are currently filming in a temporary setup. They will eventually move into their new studio located at Disney’s headquarters in Lower Manhattan.
On April 7th, Pedro Rivera of ABC7’s Eyewitness News posted: “Live with Kelly and Mark is being broadcast from the Great Hall at 7 Hudson Square.” He added, “What a fantastic setup!
In the image provided, the show is depicted exiting a building’s cafeteria, with the filming location situated in front of a large window that offers a glimpse of Manhattan’s impressive skyline. Cameramen are scattered across the area, and a temporary control room has been set up behind rows of plastic seats.
A look at Kelly and Mark’s short-term dwelling was recently provided, following the pair – parents of Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22 – who shared a popular workspace, revealing details about their departure from the cherished studio.
In an interview with People on April 1st, I proudly declared that our children have deep roots in this place. I often found them visiting their mother here quite frequently – even when they were mere infants, they seemed to be drawn to the energy backstage.
Indeed, Kelly emphasized that she was taking her kids to the studio shortly after they were born.
She pointed out, “In my days, maternity leave wasn’t commonplace. However, there was an advantage: I could bring my children to work with me. Since they were aware of our early schedule, given it was a live morning television show, I managed to balance being a dedicated mother and a committed professional.
And the couple’s kids also grew attached to the studio and everyone who made it up.
In simpler terms, Kelly said that Lola doesn’t see some of the producers as just professionals; instead, she regards them more like fellow mothers.

In the summer of 2021, I was overjoyed to find myself among my cherished family, as we had long-awaited our journey to Greece and Italy. Alas, fate had other plans for us in the previous year due to the pandemic, but with resilience, we persevered and made it there at last.
Kelly mentioned that our family’s graduation trip, initially planned for last year for our eldest son and niece, ended up being postponed to such an extent that it became a trip to celebrate not just their graduations, but also the arrivals of our newborn family members instead.
From their beautiful Mediterranean vacation, they managed to capture a fantastic family photo which became their choice for the 2021 holiday greeting card, selected by Kelly.

In a nostalgic throwback post on Instagram, I, as a dedicated follower of Kelly’s journey, expressed the transformation time has brought about, comparing 2011 to 2019: “Walls have become smaller!” This was because I noticed how much her kids had grown over the years.
“The Graduate #2019,” Kelly wrote on Instagram celebrating Lola’s final days of high school.
