Bruce Miller, the mastermind behind “The Handmaid’s Tale”, has expressed his expectations for the series’ sixth and concluding season, set to air in the United States on April 8th after an absence of nearly two and a half years from our television screens.
He expressed his desire for the upcoming season to be strong, but he has learned from observing various shows that either ended triumphantly or fell short. Therefore, he intends to apply these lessons during their production. (via Business Insider)
What I strive for in each episode is consistency, and to achieve that, every scene needs to be strong. That’s my primary focus. If it doesn’t seem like the climax of a series right away, that’s alright. The initial scenes didn’t have that feel either.
