Warhorse Studios, creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, have confirmed that the eagerly awaited Hardcore Mode will become available within the upcoming week. The exact release date for this challenging gameplay option hasn’t been specified yet, but players won’t have to wait much longer before they can embark on a fresh adventure with an enhanced level of difficulty in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Following a highly successful debut, game developer Warhorse Studios has consistently provided content for “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” after its launch. True to their word, the game’s primary post-launch update was rolled out in March, offering numerous enhancements, bug fixes, and refinements to the overall gaming experience. This update, version 1.2, didn’t just modify general gameplay; it also introduced a new barber feature. Players can now tailor Henry’s appearance with various hairstyle choices and new beard styles by visiting one of the two barbers in Bohemia. Additionally, this update bestowed upon players a temporary Freshly Trimmed buff, which momentarily boosted their Charisma by 2.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Hardcore Mode Releasing Next Week
In case the recent 1.2 update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 didn’t satisfy you enough, Warhorse Studios has announced that they will be launching the long-awaited Hardcore Mode next week! This exciting addition will be available free of charge to all players, with a new patch update expected on both consoles and PC. While an exact release date hasn’t been disclosed yet, fans can anticipate the update anywhere between Monday, April 14, and Friday, April 18. Given that the last major update was released on a Thursday, there’s a chance Warhorse might stick to their schedule and roll out the mode on Thursday, April 17.
As a fervent admirer, I’d like to shed light on an intriguing facet of the forthcoming edition of “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” – the Hardcore Mode. This mode introduces a challenging twist by allowing players to pick three out of ten detrimental traits, such as heightened hunger or reduced carrying capacity. These selected traits will persist throughout your gaming journey, along with other modifications.
The interface in Hardcore Mode has been streamlined, too. For instance, there won’t be a player marker on the map, nor cardinal directions on the compass, which makes navigation significantly trickier. To add to the realism, fast travel has been eliminated, meaning players must depend solely on their innate sense of direction. This results in an experience that’s much more authentic and immersive.
Ever since Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was first released in February, there’s been a great deal of interest among players for the game’s Hardcore Mode. Interestingly, some enthusiasts have managed to gain early access to this mode on PC by using console commands. It should be noted that the mode hasn’t officially been released yet, but it appears that Warhorse Studios has incorporated the necessary game files for players to access it via these commands. Although playing the mode in this manner isn’t advisable because it’s likely an unfinished version, it does provide a sneak preview of what we can expect when the mode is officially launched next week.
