Fans of Michael McIntyre are in for a double dose of joy today, as it was announced that both of his hit BBC One comedy shows will be renewed for an additional two seasons.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share the exciting news: Both the assortment spectacle, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, and the captivating game show, Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, have been renewed for another season! I can’t help but feel a swell of pride at the remarkable success these programs have achieved.
Originally debuting in 2016, the show has been renewed for two more seasons, allowing it to celebrate its 10th run. Production for the ninth season will kick off in July.
Currently, filming for the sixth season of The Wheel is underway, as an array of celebrity specialists are joining the program to assist participants in solving puzzles en route to amassing wealth.
Regarding the two-time revamp, McIntyre commented: “This brings The Big Show to its 10th season, an incredible milestone for everyone involved. Interestingly enough, The Wheel was a production we created during lockdown when we couldn’t film The Big Show, but it has gained just as much affection.
He mentioned: “A person approached me not long ago as I was walking my dog, and they commented that they ‘adore The Big Wheel.’ It’s unclear if they were referring to The Big Show, the actual wheel, or perhaps both, given they might have just left the London Eye.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, who oversees entertainment at the BBC, stated that this news is a reflection of their dedication to delivering exceptional Saturday Night entertainment on television that gathers people from all walks of life.
