Christina “Tinx” Najjar is weighing in on online speculation.
Prior to the unveiling of her first novel, “Hotter in the Hamptons,” in May, the well-known figure on TikTok, who calls herself the “Big Sister,” addressed rumors suggesting that she didn’t personally pen the fictional work.
One user asked on a TikTok video posted on April 2nd: “Suppose someone else had written it? What if the true author was overlooked? What if they were hired to remain unseen? How does it reflect on capitalism and creativity that we’ve come to accept ghostwriting for the sake of convenience, content, and social status?
Next, the user shared a video recording displaying the website of Gabrielle Korn, a previous editor-in-chief at Nylon, where Tinx’s book is featured in the Ghostwriting section on the Manuscript Services page.
However, Tinx weighed in with her truth about the book, which features a romance between two women.
In the video, Tinx stated, “Indeed, I brought on a colleague who identifies as queer. I may not be a lesbian myself, but I wanted to authentically portray that aspect in our narrative.
Back in 2023, I proudly released my first nonfiction book titled “The Shift: Change Your Perspective, Not Yourself.” In this book, I openly acknowledge that the person I’m most grateful for is someone very special to me. It’s no secret; she’s the one I thank in the acknowledgments!
TopMob News has attempted to contact representatives for Tinx and Gabrielle Korn, but they have yet to respond.
Contrary to some online rumors, the host of the “It’s Me Tinx” podcast is excited about the upcoming release of “Hotter in the Hamptons,” a book that has already been picked up for television adaptation by producers Sara Foster and Erin Foster under Nobody Wants This.
In her January statement to People, Tinx expressed her long-held dream of writing a novel has finally come true. “It’s incredible to be able to introduce my first work of fiction to the world,” she said. “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve cherished losing myself in a good book – the power of fiction to whisk us away, make us laugh, shed tears, unwind, and simply savor life through someone else’s tale never ceases to amaze me.
She went on to say, “It’s been a unique experience for me to write this, as my aim was to craft a captivating and thrilling tale that would appeal to the reader I am myself.
