South of Midnight is Out Now on Xbox Series X/S and PC

Even though it’s still April, Xbox has already added another impressive first-party exclusive to its roster with Obsidian Entertainment’s action RPG, Avowed. Now, Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight is also available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, as well as Game Pass for consoles, PC, and cloud.

Set in the American Deep South, the narrative follows Hazel as she embarks on a journey to become a Weaver and mend the Grand Tapestry after her hometown’s devastation. This quest leads to interactions with various mythical entities, but she must also confront foes called the Haints to endure. Noteworthy about the presentation is its visual aesthetic, which adopts a style reminiscent of stop motion, although you can disable it during combat and exploration scenes.

The game titled ‘South of Midnight’ is priced at $39.99. It typically takes around 12 hours to finish (according to HowLongToBeat). You can read our review, where we awarded it a rating of eight out of ten. We appreciated the game’s presentation, storytelling, and characters, but found room for improvement in overall polish and noticed that Hazel tends to talk quite a bit.

Embark on an adventure into the heart of midnight and untangle the mysteries of yesteryears! The game ‘South of Midnight’ has just been released on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox App for Windows PC, Steam, Cloud, and Game Pass! #ExperienceSouthofMidnight
