Big brother is watching Mickey Rourke.

The actor from “Iron Man 2” who’s presently featured in season 24 of “Celebrity Big Brother UK,” drew criticism from the show’s producers for a string of questionable remarks he made towards fellow contestant JoJo Siwa regarding her sexuality.

On the April 3rd broadcast, Mickey inquired about Jojo’s preferences between “females or males,” leading the “Karma” performer to explain her attraction towards women and reference her partner Kath Ebbs, who identifies as non-binary. In turn, Mickey offered an intriguing perspective on the topic.

“If I stay longer than four days,” the 72-year-old said, “you won’t be gay anymore.” 

In response, Jojo, age 21, assuredly said, “I assure you that I’ll continue to be gay, and I’ll remain happily in a relationship.

In the subsequent segment of the show, known for eliminating contestants from the Big Brother house, Mickey confided in Chris Hughes about his forthcoming voting decision, stating, “I’ll be voting off that lesbian right away.

JoJo, who overheard the comment, responded, “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.” 

The tense conversation didn’t stop there. Afterward, Mickey expressed, “I require a smoky thing,” while gesturing towards Siwa and clarified, “I’m not addressing you.” When Chris pointed it out, the actor explained, “I understand. I was referring to a cigarette.

As a dedicated follower, I found myself confronted by Big Brother on the ITV series after using a term that has a double meaning – often referring to a cigarette in the U.K., but also carrying a derogatory connotation towards the LGBTQ+ community. The conversation was a reminder of the importance of respect and sensitivity in our words and actions.

In simple terms, the representative from Big Brother informed Mickey that his words were seen as inappropriate and not suitable for the show. Consequently, a formal warning has been issued to Mickey. If such behavior continues, it might result in Mickey’s expulsion from the Big Brother house.

Following the rebuke, the main character of “The Wrestler” admitted his inappropriate actions. “I apologize,” he expressed, addressing the camera. “I don’t have dishonorable motives – I was just trash-talking, as you know. I wasn’t taking it too seriously. I didn’t mean any harm by it, and if I did, my apologies.

And he also sought amends with JoJo herself.

After reconnecting with his co-stars from Dance Moms, Mickey expressed his apologies, saying, “I feel the need to apologize. I have a tendency to get angry quickly, and I don’t intend any harm by it. I truly mean my apology. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you.

In response, JoJo shared, “I appreciate your apology.”
