Prince George’s First 2025 Appearance: Father-Son Soccer Showdown

Prince George is the new king of soccer.

On April 9, 2025, the oldest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, made his first public appearance of that year. He was seen alongside his father at the UEFA Champions League Quarter Final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa FC in Paris.

As a lifestyle expert, I must say, when I saw George and his father out together, I couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between the two. George, much like a younger version of William, sported a smart ensemble – a collared shirt paired with a navy sweater, topped off with a matching jacket. To complete the look, he styled his dirty blond hair in a sleek side part, echoing William’s signature hairstyle from his teenage years. It was truly a heartwarming sight!

In the meantime, William, aged 42, teamed up with his child, both dressed smartly in a navy blazer and black sweater, for the occasion.

The twin pair clearly enjoyed themselves immensely as they watched the two teams compete against each other. At a certain moment, William, beaming widely, enthusiastically shook his son’s shoulders in delight over an impressive play, and George excitedly pumped his fist for celebration.

George, who stands second in line for the British throne after his father, made his final public appearance in December 2024. On this occasion, he was alongside his parents, his granddad King Charles III and Queen Camila, as well as his siblings Princess Charlotte (age 9) and Prince Louis (age 6), during the royal family’s traditional Christmas Day walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk, England.

The family outing displayed an unusual show of solidarity among its five members during Kate’s cancer struggle, as she shared her remission news following her completion of chemotherapy in January.

Maintaining a low profile with their children has been essential for Kate and William, as it helps safeguard them during this difficult time following her diagnosis.

In a video message from April 2024, Kate expressed, “It’s taken us some time to find the right words and approach to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in terms they can understand. Also, I wanted to assure them that I will be alright.

In her own words, the Princess of Wales stated, “Just as I’ve told them, I’m doing fine and growing stronger each day by concentrating on what aids my recovery – for my thoughts, my health, and my soul.
