Keri Hilson’s Shocking Beyoncé Diss Track Regret Revealed!

Keri Hilson didn’t intend to knock anyone down.

The artist known for “Pretty Girl Rock” opened up about her feelings of remorse regarding the 2009 remix version of “Turnin’ Me On,” a track containing a verse that has been widely perceived by fans as a criticism directed towards Beyoncé.

During her April 9 interview on The Breakfast Club radio show, Keri clarified, “I do regret it, but not as some might assume. This song isn’t one I wrote myself; the lyrics aren’t my own words.

Initially, the artist behind “Knock You Down” attempted to remove the verse from the song when Polow da Don, who collaborated with Timbaland on “Turnin’ Me On,” first played her Ester Dean’s originally penned lyrics.

“Automatically, I was like, ‘I’m not saying that,'” Keri recalled. “That was my position.'”

Which lyrics was she unwilling to perform? The lines in question were: “If you believe yourself to be the best, your judgment is blurry / You can dance, she can sing, but she needs to shift it to the left, left / She needs to have some babies, sit down, she’s a fraud / I’m not shutting off, I’m keeping it on. Go ahead and tell these people how long I’ve been crafting your songs.

At the moment, Keri asserted that she wasn’t fully aware of whom the words referred to, but she instantly recognized that the passage was cryptic or ambiguous.

Keri described Polow as being quite assertive when they disagreed, stating that she started working on her own version but he didn’t make it easy for her. She used the term “in a manager-creator dynamic” to explain their interaction.

In the end, I found myself laying down tracks for the song with the aim of preserving my first album, “In A Perfect World…” which was slated for release towards the year’s end.

Keri explained, “Since my album hadn’t been released, it felt like they were saying, ‘You won’t be released unless you do this.’ However, the error I made was not standing up for myself further. I was in tears, crying, and strongly refused to comply.

TopMob News contacted representatives of Keri, Beyoncé, Ester, and Polow in hopes of getting a response, yet no comments have been received so far.

Approximately 10 years have passed since then, and Beyoncé hasn’t responded to rumors that the “Turnin’ Me On” remix lyrics refer to her. However, after Keri’s admission, Ester expressed regret for any part she played in conveying the verse’s intended meaning.

As a lifestyle connoisseur reflecting on my past, I shared numerous verses for that remix. One of them made the cut, and it was a collaboration with Keri, as I shared on Instagram April 9. Upon revisiting those words, I now realize they were immature and have not held up over time.

Recognizing that her songs have caused pain, particularly among women, she went on to say, “I wholeheartedly accept responsibility for my actions.

Additionally, Ester swore that she had grown significantly since that time, stating, “I’ve helped and empowered numerous women since, yet that experience remains indelible in my memory.

“I’m sorry for my part in it,” she added. “Growth is real, and so is this apology.”

In January 2024, Bobby (the one pictured second from the left) spoke up to dispel rumors about a rift with Tan (the one in the middle), which arose two months following his announcement of leaving “Queer Eye” after eight successful seasons.

He assured Vanity Fair, “Tan and I are doing well, despite what may have transpired privately between us, which is unrelated to the series.” To set the record straight, he added, “It was a personal matter that had been building up for some time, and it’s important to note that it wasn’t romantic in nature.

By March 2024, Tan was addressing claims that he was advocating for his friend Jeremiah Brent to take over Bobby’s role on the show “Queer Eye”.

He stated on Instagram that Netflix and the production companies conducted a thorough casting process. He didn’t suggest his friend for the role, as they ultimately got it because they were the most suitable candidate for the job. However, he didn’t help them secure the position by eliminating someone else in the process.

As a devoted fan, I’ve always been intrigued by the long-standing rumors of tension between Shannen and her former co-star from “Charmed,” Holly Marie Combs. In a December 2023 episode of her podcast “Let’s Be Clear,” Holly shared an interesting perspective that sheds light on their relationship. She claimed that during the show, Alyssa had made an ultimatum to a producer, asking them to pick either herself or Shannen. This situation allegedly led to Shannen’s departure from the show in 2001.

In February 2024, Alyssa posted on Instagram, “I didn’t possess the authority to terminate anyone’s employment,” and she also stated that “it’s been so long since this happened that any accounts about it from anyone are essentially rewriting history.

Yesterday at the MegaCon Orlando panel event, I shared my perspective by stating, “I stand firmly by the truth as I’ve always known it: there’s no rewriting of history taking place.

Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a yearslong battle with cancer.

In September 2023, while engaging in a game titled “Stir the Pot” with her daughter Kelly Osbourne on TopMob News, Sharon made a remark saying that Kelly’s co-star from That ’70s Show was one of the rudest celebrities she had ever encountered. She went on to label him as a “very impolite boy” and a “naughty little thing.

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon expressed to Larry King that Ashton seemed to have a certain attitude when she incorrectly called him out by name during his appearance on “The Talk” in 2014.

She remembered him asking, “Who are you? What is your background in this field?” To which she responded, “Listen, I suggest you tread carefully because if you mess with me, I’ll overwhelm you and make it seem like our roles are reversed.” In essence, she said, “You don’t understand the situation here, kid.

In August 2022, Cassadee and Brittany, wife of country star Jason Aldean, had a heated exchange on Instagram, following a post by Brittany where she expressed gratitude towards her parents for not altering her gender during her tomboy phase. She stated that she enjoys living the feminine life. This comment sparked a disagreement with Cassadee.

In a 2022 TikTok challenge, JoJo Siwa labeled Candace Cameron Bure as the “most impolite” celebrity. She explained that she felt disappointed when Bure declined to take a photo with her on a red carpet. A short while later, the actress from Full House expressed remorse: “I shattered your 11-year-old spirit by not taking a picture with you. I’m so sorry about it.

Originally, they reconciled their differences. However, several months passed, and Candace was queried about whether she anticipates the Great American Family network, where she holds the position of chief creative officer, to showcase same-sex couples as primary characters in holiday films. She responded negatively, further stating, “I believe that Great American Family will uphold traditional marriage at its heart.

In 2021, JoJo openly identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community and expressed on Instagram that the actress’ remark was both disrespectful and painful towards an entire group of individuals.

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed that Olivia Rodrigo had used Hole’s album cover design for a promotional photo without giving proper credit. Rodrigo responded with “I adore you and feel deeply connected to this experience.” Later, Courtney jokingly offered her advice, saying “Olivia – feel free to use it! My preferred florist is located in Notting Hill, London. Message me for details! I eagerly await reading your response [winking face emoji].

During an interview on “Watch What Happens Live”, the actor from “Happy Days” was questioned about his strained relationship with the co-star from “Forrest Gump” during the filming of the 1989 movie “Turner & Hooch”.

For 13 days, I was in charge of that movie’s production. Then, I was summoned to Jeff Katzenberg’s office, where he told me, “Have all your things ready? Go back home,” he stated.

Winkler appeared to have a wonderful rapport with Hanks’ canine colleague, as he stated, “We got along fabulously; I adore that dog.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Lovers of “The Hills” might recall that memorable quote, spoken by Lauren during the season three opener. Their dispute originated when Heidi started dating her current spouse, Spencer Pratt, and reached its zenith when Lauren claimed that Heidi and Spencer had initiated a gossip about her making a sex tape with Jason Wahler.

A long-standing dispute between costars flared up again when Tyrese criticized Dwayne Johnson on Instagram following the postponement of the release date for Fast and Furious 9 to April 2020. On the same day, it was revealed that a Fast and Furious spinoff featuring Dwayne and Jason Statham would be released in 2019. A month later, Tyrese vowed to leave Fast 9 if Dwayne was involved in the project.

Later on, Tyrese candidly discussed the dispute during an interview on “The Red Pill” podcast with Van Lathan. He expressed, “I haven’t spoken to The Rock up until now, but we will have a conversation.” He also mentioned that he had a chat with The Rock’s producing partner, not the actor himself.

Tyrese admitted that he was the one who publicly expressed the collective feelings of people linked to the franchise, while others remained private. He acknowledged that this was a mistake on his part and considered it unprofessional and inappropriate.

No more bad blood here.

For quite some time, Taylor and Katy were at odds, with the dispute supposedly leading to Taylor writing the song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, said to have begun over a backup dancer and rival tours, was resolved when Perry extended an olive branch, figuratively speaking, before Taylor’s Reputation Tour commenced.

Taylor shared on Instagram, “Just discovered a real olive branch in my dressing room, it means a lot.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For many years, speculations about a feud between costars Kim and Sarah Jessica Parker from the show “Sex and the City” had been avoided. However, these rumors resurfaced when Kim opted out of appearing in a third film and made statements about her co-star that sparked curiosity among fans.

On the September 2017 edition of “Watch What Happens Live,” Andy Cohen inquired about your response when Kim Cattrall stated that you were merely colleagues, not friends.

She expressed that she was deeply saddened by the recent conversation. For a whole week, they had discussed this matter, and it left her feeling distressed because it didn’t align with her memories of their shared experience.

She expressed, “It’s unfortunate, but I guess I feel…well, I can’t quite put it into words, but the shared memories from our prolonged professional journey seem to bind us. It spanned years and years of our lives, making it more than just a job. So I pray that this profound connection overshadows any recent disagreements.” She further added, “Experiencing something so unique together for such an extended period is truly a rare privilege.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Since 2004, these renowned musicians have been embroiled in a longstanding dispute. During his acceptance speech for the Classic Songwriter Award at the Q Awards that year, Elton John exclaimed to the audience, “Madonna, regarded as the best live act? Absolutely not! Since when is lip-syncing considered live? I apologize, but I believe anyone who lip-syncs on stage in public, especially when ticket prices are around 75 pounds, should be criticized.

In 2008, the actress who once starred on Grey’s Anatomy ignited a dispute with the show’s creator by choosing not to be considered for Emmy Awards. She explained that her decision was based on the fact that she didn’t receive suitable scripts to justify a nomination.

Later on, Shonda spoke candidly about Katherine’s choice during an interview with Oprah Winfrey on ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’ in 2012. She expressed, “On one hand it hurt and on the other I wasn’t shocked. When people reveal their true nature, trust them. That’s something I hold onto quite a bit. It has proven beneficial for me.”

Last New York Fashion Week, there was quite a stirring confrontation between me and Nicki that made headlines globally. It happened at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party. A while later, I shared the reasons behind our heated argument with Nicki.

For some time, she’s been firing numerous criticisms at me, as Cardi stated in the Art Issue of W magazine. We had spoken twice previously and reached a compromise, but she persisted with her actions.

The main cause of the dispute ignited when Cardi perceived that Nicki had reportedly given a thumbs-up and then removed it from a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting abilities, an action which Nicki has refuted.

Cardi B shared, “I had the chance to earn millions from my Bruno Mars tour, but I chose to stay with my daughter instead. ‘I adore my child,’ she added. ‘I’m a fantastic mother, and it’s hard for those who don’t have kids to understand this. People often say that wasn’t the right moment or place to discuss it, but I won’t encounter another artist in the supermarket or on the street.

The disagreement between Kanye and Taylor Swift initially arose in 2009 during her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, when the rapper interrupted her moment on stage with his performance of “Stronger.” Despite reconciling and developing friendship years later, their relationship soured again in 2026 following the release of Kanye’s song “Famous,” which referenced Taylor in its lyrics.

On the eve of the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye made an unusual change on his Instagram: he followed just Taylor. There was no additional explanation given by him, and Taylor refrained from making a public response to this action.

“I don’t know her.”

15 years have passed since the ongoing dispute between Mariah and J.Lo, often referred to as a “feud,” began. It stemmed from an interview where Mariah, known as the Queen of Christmas, was asked for her thoughts on various singers. When inquired about Jennifer, she responded, “I’m not familiar with her.
