Drop director explains why he changed Meghann Fahy’s role in movie’s ending

Previously, every film Christopher Landon directed, such as “Happy Death Day” and “Freaky”, was also one he wrote himself. However, with his newest project “Drop”, he is stepping away from this consistent approach by not writing the script for this particular movie.

He mentioned that he was particularly thankful to the authors since they provided him with the script during an early phase. The initial version allowed him to contribute as a writer and collaborate extensively with them, refining and expanding the work even more.

The alterations encompassed fleshing out additional background details for the main character, Violet, portrayed by Meghann Fahy, and significantly increasing Brandon Sklenar’s character, Henry, within the storyline.

And he also said that some significant changes were made to how the film ends.

As a film enthusiast, I shared that the original storyline had a distinct twist; instead of concluding in the restaurant, it unveiled an entirely unique motive behind the series of events affecting her.

I thought the film’s conclusion should have been different. Specifically, the final part of the movie required a unique twist that differed significantly from their original plan.
