Anime-style open-world action RPG Tomo: Endless Blue announced for PC

A fresh game development studio called Onibi, comprised of veterans from the gaming industry who have contributed to titles such as Baldur’s Gate III, Fall Guys, Fortnite, League of Legends, and World of Warcraft, has unveiled Tomo: Endless Blue. This anime-style open-world action RPG is set in an expansive ocean realm teeming with enigmatic creatures. The game will make its debut on PC via Steam towards the end of 2026.

Benjamin Devienne, Onibi CEO, is eager for gamers to start their adventure in ‘Tomo: Endless Blue.’ Each island in this game offers a distinct universe, influenced by unique cultures, beliefs, and the character Tomo. We hope players will relish the experience of encountering these civilizations, each viewing the world differently through their unique perspectives.

Here is an overview of the game, via Onibi:

About

Embark on a journey across the Boundless Sea, a domain where the Tomo dwell. Join forces with your allies for battles or shared experiences. Construct vessels and devices to discover randomly generated islands and settlements, encountering distinctive personalities as you progress.

In the finality of worlds, remnants of their civilizations float as solitary islands amidst the Boundless Ocean. As adventurers explore these islands, each randomly generated, they stumble upon thriving communities teeming with characters and Tomo, living out their daily lives. Each island and village serves as a miniature representation of a distinct civilization.

In the vast expanse of the Endless Blue, players can explore a variety of experiences. They can join forces with Tomo companions in combat, construct elaborate machines from building blocks, or settle down and enjoy peaceful camaraderie with friends. The choice is theirs!

Key Features

  • Befriend the Tomo – Players will meet extraordinary creatures known as the “Tomo,” each with unique powers they’ll use while fighting alongside the player. Tomo are also the player’s day-to-day companions, helping them build, farm, craft, cook, and more.
  • Procedurally Generated Worlds – The game utilizes a combination of handcrafted content and bespoke procedural generation to create vibrant and diverse islands. Each island offers a variety of challenges, including battles against Tomo Champions, searches for mythical Tomo, and the uncovering of hidden secrets in ancient ruins.
  • Voxel Physics – Blocks in Tomo: Endless Blue adhere to real-world physics, allowing players to construct vehicles and contraptions to aid their exploration or daily life. Whether it’s a boat, crane, or airship, players can build their own machines block by block—the possibilities are endless.
  • Terrain-Based Live Combat – Players can switch between their own point-of-view and their Tomo companion’s. The blocks forming the surrounding terrain can be used strategically to gain the upper hand: for example, spread water to cool down a fire Tomo, then hit the water with an electric attack for massive damage.
  • Multiplayer Capabilities – The game supports offline single-player gameplay, local network multiplayer and distant server play. There’s no limit on the number of players—it’s as many as the player’s device or server can support.
