On April 29th, the free-to-play five-versus-five first-person hero shooter “FragPunk” for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series is set to be released, according to the announcement made by its developers, Bad Guitar Studio.
As a passionate gamer, I eagerly anticipated the release of FragPunk on March 6th, initially expecting console versions as well. However, just when I was about to dive in, there was a sudden twist: the console launches got postponed at the eleventh hour for some last-minute tweaks and optimization.

Following its PC debut in March, the game FragPunk has swiftly hooked players with its innovative Shard Card System, compelling strategic mechanics, and stunning visual aesthetics, reaching a high of more than 110,000 simultaneous players on Steam. Now, console gamers are in for a treat as the game is about to deliver its unique mix of strategy and chaos. The upcoming launch has been carefully fine-tuned for seamless controller play, boasting improved graphics and a cross-progression system, guaranteeing an unmatched gaming adventure.
To compensate for the late release of the console version, FragPunk is providing generous incentives for players using consoles. These rewards come from special time-limited events that start during Season 1 and run until the console version’s release on April 29th. Console buyers who purchased the Pioneer Bundle will be able to claim extra perks following the console launch.
