It appears that Hanger 13 may have accidentally revealed the release date for Mafia: The Old Country as August 8th, through a recent Steam post.
At PAX West on May 8th, there will be a Developer Panel unveiling a fresh gameplay trailer for our upcoming title, giving fans an exclusive peek into the history, current state, and future plans for the series. Importantly, while we didn’t announce a release date during this announcement, pre-orders are not yet available either (contrary to any information that might have been given).
Even though the dates were later taken down from the Steam listing for Latin America, Gematsu managed to grab a screenshot showing that the game was set to launch on August 8th. Although those lines have been removed, it’s highly likely that this release date will be officially announced during the upcoming Developer Panel, so keep an eye out for updates!
Mafia: The Old Country is making its way to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. This prequel to previous games is set in Sicily during the 1900s and follows Enzo Favara as he enters the Torrisi family and dives into a life of criminal activities.
