Prince Harry made an appearance to support those wounded Ukrainian civilians and soldiers.
During the ongoing conflict between their country and Russia, the king – who has children Archie (5) and Lilibet (3) with his wife Meghan Markle – paid a visit to the Superhumans Center rehabilitation facility in Lviv as a sign of his support.
Harry expressed to a group of reporters outside the center that this was his first trip to Ukraine, but he anticipates returning because it’s so impressive. In regards to the surgeons inside the ear, nose, and throat center, he stated that their efforts to assist as many people as possible are truly remarkable. He has visited various centers before, but this one, where patients undergo surgery, receive prosthetics, and then return home all within the same building, is simply astounding to him. And Harry emphasized just how quality the care of the soldiers and civilians was at the center.
“Most of them don’t want to go home, they want to stay here,” he explained. “And I understand why.”
A 40-year-old individual, who spent time with the British Army in Afghanistan from 2005 to 2015 (completing two tours), joined this facility along with his fellow participants of the Invictus Games. He expressed that it was a profoundly honorable experience for him.
Following interactions with the patients at the facility, Harry too demonstrated support for the nation’s ongoing struggle.
He emphasized that Ukraine should remember they have global support. Furthermore, Invictus is committed to collaborating with Ukraine and its Ukrainian Invictus team for however long it takes. Essentially, our bond is strong.
