JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Creator Celebrates New Anime Announcement With Gift For Fans

The long-awaited day is here for fans of Stand! It’s been confirmed that the next season of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” will bring the Steel Ball Run horse race to our screens. As fans eagerly await further details about the anime adaptation of Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli’s story, the series creator, Hirohiko Araki, has been more than happy to share updates. Thanks to JOJODay this year, Araki has revealed new artwork as he continues working on the manga, with no signs of ending “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” anytime soon.

The manga “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run” was initially published in 2004 and continued until 2011, resulting in a substantial number of chapters. Typically, previous story arcs consist of approximately thirty-nine episodes in the anime adaptation. Unlike other JoJo series that are set in contemporary times, this one is unique as it unfolds in the late 1800s, following the character Johnny Joestar’s pursuit of his dreams. The central plot revolves around a horse race, and since Johnny lacks the use of his legs, being thrown off his horse could lead to dire consequences for him.

After Jolyne’s tale, Araki expanded the world of the Joestars by delving into uncharted territories, which meant creating entirely new dimensions. Following Steel Ball Run, came JoJolion, a series that offers fresh perspectives on familiar characters like Josuke Higashikata and Joseph Joestar. The latest manga series, The JOJOLands, sees Hirohiko exploring new territories once more. However, the return of established character Kishibe Rohan has left many fans speculating whether this new series might be set in the original universe that started it all.

On their official platform, the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure social media account posted fresh artwork created by Hirohiko Araki. In this piece, Araki brought together characters Johnny and Gyro in a striking composition. Accompanying the art, Araki extended a small message to fans: “Celebrate! Keep an eye out for what’s coming!

Why The Steel Ball Run is One To Watch

The tale of Johnny and Gyro is often considered one of the finest storylines in the annals of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and for good reason. This high-energy series features its share of extraordinary Stand battles, many of which unfold on horseback as numerous characters strive to seize the grand prize that will bring their cherished aspirations to fruition. As yet, it remains undecided whether David Production will continue to oversee the series or if the forthcoming season will be exclusive to Netflix; however, these details are likely to come to light in due time.

Regardless of the official announcement about Steel Ball Run, it’s unclear when this anime will air on television, suggesting that fans may need to exercise patience for quite some time. It appears that 2026 could possibly be the year we finally get to watch the first episode of the anime if production goes according to plan.
