Netflix’s One Piece Shares First Look at One Wild Live-Action Transformation

I’ve been keeping an eye on things, and I’m thrilled to report that “One Piece,” a hit live-action series on Netflix, is gearing up for Season 2! To add to the excitement, they’ve unveiled a sneak peek at the live-action version of one Zoan character. The live-action adaptation of “One Piece” has been one of Netflix’s biggest success stories in recent years, so it comes as no shock that they’re planning a second season. As fans like myself eagerly anticipate the next chapter in this live-action saga, “One Piece” has also been busy adding fresh talent to its cast, set to make their debut in the upcoming episodes.

After completing production of Season 2 of “One Piece” earlier this year, Netflix has been building anticipation among fans with exclusive sneak peeks into some upcoming characters. One such character is Ty Keogh’s Dalton, who features during the Drum Island arc in the next season. A first glimpse at his character has been shared, and it’s been disclosed that his Zoan form includes a genuine Bison head, which we can hardly wait to witness in action when the new season arrives. Take a look below for a sneak peek.

Who Is Dalton in One Piece Season 2?

I recently noticed that Drum Island, a captivating locale from Eiichiro Oda’s original One Piece manga, has been brought to life in Season 2 of the live-action series. In this intriguing arc, we are introduced to Dalton, a significant character who serves under the malevolent Wapol. Interestingly, Dalton possesses the power of the Ox-Ox Devil Fruit, which allows him to metamorphose into a Bison man, enhancing his physical prowess and agility. This Zoan type fruit imbues him with beastly attributes, and it seems that his transformation includes a carefully crafted head as part of the process.

Keogh playfully praised both the Drum Island set and its actor, Rob Colletti, commenting that the Drum Island set was intricately detailed and outdoorsy, while Wapol’s throne room took the cake for grandeur. He described Season 2 as “more expansive than you might imagine.” However, excitement for the upcoming episodes remains high as more information trickles in from production.

What to Know for Netflix’s One Piece Season 2

As of now, the live-action adaptation of “One Piece” on Netflix has not specified when Season 2 will air. The previous showrunner, Matt Owens, has stepped down to prioritize his mental health, but we’re still waiting for updates on how this change might influence the series production. In a message to fans back in 2024, creator Eiichiro Oda hinted that Netflix’s “One Piece” Season 2 would cover storylines including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.

The final storyline features characters such as Dalton and Wapol, with a particular focus on Tony Tony Chopper, who is set to join the Straw Hat crew in Season 2 of Netflix’s “One Piece.” So far, details about this new arrival have been scarce, but it seems that the creators are carefully crafting his introduction to ensure a flawless debut. As we get closer to the release date, we may learn more about Chopper.
