S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Q2 Roadmap Includes Mutant Loot, New Weapons, and A-Life 2.0 Updates

GSC GameWorld unveiled the first plan for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, detailing upcoming features scheduled for Q2 2025. The updated A-Life 2.0 will enhance human combat, featuring more intelligent strategies such as the effective use of flanking and cover, and even limited access to grenades for a more authentic battle experience.

What makes them particularly fascinating are the Mutants, as they’re capable of responding to dangers and consuming dead bodies. Although their gameplay function might seem unusual, it certainly enhances the immersive experience. After all, one must consider how else these Mutants survive in the Zone? Moreover, they’ll also have unique loot, giving players even more incentives to hunt them down.

Distinct features include the ability to bypass shader compilation, an expansion of the player’s inventory window, and compatibility with widescreen displays. Additionally, there are forthcoming fixes for Anomalies, as well as enhancements in stability and optimization. Moreover, anticipate the addition of two new weapons, possibly including the long-awaited AK-47.

The Beta Mod Software Development Kit (SDK) is set to debut, preceded by a private beta testing phase. Additionally, it will come equipped with a tutorial on creating mods, as well as compatibility with both mod.io and Steam Workshop. Keep an eye out for further updates in the interim.
