The latest addition to the longstanding SNK fighting series, titled “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves,” is now available. Despite being a specialized choice within the gaming industry, its promotion strategy is far from obscure!
Despite appearing somewhat outdated when placed alongside genre giants such as Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1, its promotional material really stands out.
Rather than just acquiring soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo, they’ve also brought on board two significant figures in the streaming world, KSI and IShowSpeed, to host live events for some major boxing matches they are sponsoring in London and New York.
Apart from this, the buses in London are adorned as well, and we’re quite certain that these aren’t their final actions, since there’s more than a week left before the launch.
Certainly, SNK has the ability to tap into Saudi Arabia’s vast Private Investment Fund, implying that financial hurdles are not significant in this case.
It’s somewhat unexpected that this series is being heavily promoted, even surpassing some well-known figures in the genre. One can’t help but ponder whether the investment will ultimately prove worthwhile.
