Streamer ‘Sodakite’ claims that her harasser, who is currently incarcerated due to serving a life term for the gruesome murder of his mother and disposing of her remains in a sewer, continues to reach out to her from prison.
In October 2022, Travis J. Lewton took the life of his 71-year-old mother by strangling her upon her return home from work in Toledo, Ohio.
Following his actions, he shoved her corpse into a drainage pipe hidden in a gully beyond their residence, then ignited the area as a means of concealing the proof.
According to court records and local news reports, it appears that Lewton was contemplating the idea of harming his mother for approximately a week.
In October 2023, he received a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the crimes of premeditated murder and desecration of a body. However, even while incarcerated, Lewton discovered means to instill fear in another female individual.
Stalker jailed for murder harasses Twitch streamer from prison
Back in April 2025, the Twitch streamer known as ‘Sodakite’ disclosed that Lewton had been stalking her for several years, and even after being imprisoned, he persists with his harassment.
During a Grand Theft Auto V Roleplay livestream with her partner and co-broadcaster Penta, Sodakite revealed that Lewton had been sending her emails since 2019, but stopped in 2021 – a period following which he tragically killed his mother and was subsequently incarcerated.
“He tried once in 2024, and he just tried again,” Sodakite explained. “…it’s really scary.”
According to their discussion, the latest email Lewton sent contained numerous mentions of “socks” and a large number of attached files.
After taking a look at Soda’s email inbox, Penta exclaimed, “These titles are just bizarre!” He then shared a screenshot of the emails Lewton had sent her, which contained subject lines such as “wool socks”, “Avoid straining or you might strain a hamstring”, and “Body modification”, along with a suggestion to join an app that links inmates with friends and family on the outside.
“He would send me really weird photos,” Soda laughed. “…he probably didn’t even subscribe.”
As a devoted admirer, I must admit that Sodakite’s ability to find humor amidst the terrifying ordeal is truly commendable. However, it’s crucial to acknowledge that Lewton’s harassment isn’t an isolated incident. Regrettably, many female streamers like her have encountered similar situations – being stalked, threatened, and in some cases, even physically harmed by their viewers. It’s a sad reality we need to address.
In March 2025, for example, the Twitch streamer Amouranth was robbed at home by masked burglars who aimed to seize her crypto wallet. Meanwhile, broadcasters Emiru, Cinna, and Valkyrae were targeted by a threatening male viewer who demanded their phone numbers; when Emiru refused, he made violent threats against them, claiming he would “kill” them.
