It might seem surprising that an addition to a kitchen could have such devastating consequences, even leading to murder. However, as portrayed in the series “The Feud”, this is precisely what transpires.
In a different turn of events, Actress Jill Halfpenny portrays Emma, a lawyer with dreams of expanding her residence. However, this choice ultimately leads to the disintegration of her marriage and disrupts the peaceful harmony on Shelbury Drive.
In his description, Halfpenny referred to “The Feud” as “intensely suspenseful”. Moreover, he stated that “no one seems truthful about their actions or emotions, not even the character I portray, Emma, who believes herself to be utterly sincere, yet deceives as well.
As a devoted cinephile, I must confess that although the series is undeniably exaggerated, it strikes a chord with many of us viewers due to its relatability.
She stated that many individuals belong to WhatsApp groups and have encountered neighbors undergoing home renovations. However, she emphasized that The Feud goes beyond ordinary experiences, delving into terrifying territory instead.
Halfpenny also couldn’t predict how the series would wrap up.
She remarked, “I could have never predicted how grim things would become, nor did I foresee the escalation to such extremes, especially since it all began in a seemingly ordinary household environment.
Other cast members include Rupert Penry-Jones, Amy Nuttall, Ray Fearon and Larry Lamb.

Where was The Feud filmed?
The Feud was filmed in Newcastle and its surrounding areas, including South Tyneside.
Among the sites chosen, Heaton Park was one where Emma regularly connected with her father Terry for their secret talks.
Additional settings included Jarrow Town Hall, serving dual purposes as a courthouse for magistrates, alongside a residence in Benton and Aidan’s Kitchen situated on Starbeck Avenue in Sandyford, both of which made appearances.
The actors had a great time during their stay in the North East, and local resident Halfpenny commended the stunning weather.
“We had freakishly good weather in Newcastle for the whole of The Feud’s shoot,” she said.
Occasionally, summers where we are can be less than ideal, but this year’s weather has been simply extraordinary. Each morning awoke to find it perfect for wearing swimsuits.
Additionally, Nuttall was quite fond of working in Newcastle, and Fearon has accumulated numerous cherished moments in the city from past employment.
The Feud was produced by Lonesome Pine Productions, which is based in the North East.
