Kim Tate’s Bold Move: Will She End the Joe Tate Feud?

Next week, Kim Tate (Claire King), steps into the conflict between Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash). However, one might wonder if her involvement will prove effective in resolving the dispute.

In another location, Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins) encounters her half-brother John (portrayed by Oliver Farnworth) after discovering he was hiding the truth about a major deception.

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is left unconscious in an attack, but will he be OK?

As a film enthusiast, I found myself deeply engrossed in a scene where Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) wrongly accused another man of an affair with Dawn (Olivia Bromley). Meanwhile, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) seemed to be growing weary of the two bickering gentlemen vying for her affection.

Finally, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) leaves girlfriend Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) confused.

Here are all your Emmerdale spoilers for 22nd – 25th April 2025.

6 Emmerdale spoilers next week

1. Kim Tate steps in over Joe Tate and Caleb Miligan feud

Caleb and Ruby are glad to learn that Detective Inspector Roberts is probing into the burglary at the depot, instead of looking into Anthony Fox’s disappearance.

As DI Roberts departs, Joe saunters over to taunt, but Caleb barricades him in, prompting Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) to step in.

At Home Farm, Cain grows anxious as he believes the circumstances have escalated beyond control. He turns to Kim for aid, catching her off guard in the process.

He’s resolved to end the conflict between Joe and Caleb, and as it happens, Joe enters at the very moment when Kim and Cain were deliberating their next steps.

Kim issues Joe with some home truths in order to keep both him and Caleb out of prison.

With a sense of uncertainty, Caleb and Ruby receive an invitation to Home Farm. There, they find Joe and Cain already present, as Kim takes action in an attempt to bring a definitive end to their ongoing conflict.

Whenever the group starts arguing, Kim proposes a ceasefire by suggesting that she compensate Caleb with the land surrounding his depot as a peace offering.

As I listened to Kim’s declaration that this was her last proposal, my mind churned with thoughts. We sealed the deal, and then it was showtime as Kim confronted Joe in a heated argument.

In a show of trust, Joe promises not to betray her again, and consequently, formidable Kim pledges to assist Joe in maintaining a watchful eye on their adversaries and constructing an indomitable alliance.

Will Kim and Joe be a force to be reckoned with?

2. Victoria Sugden confronts John Sugden over shock lie

Victoria meets with John’s ex-soldier friend, Connor, and the pair chat about John.

However, Vic finds it surprising to discover that the man John said was dead, Aidan Moore, is in fact still living.

Connor shares with Victoria the events that transpired in Afghanistan, disclosing that Aidan is currently in a coma at a medical facility in Leeds.

Vic is reeling, and she heads to the hospital, getting directions to Aidan’s room and walking in.

But she quickly leaves, shaken by the confirmation of the truth which is right in front of her.

Later on, Victoria discloses to John that she has discovered Aidan is still alive, causing John to become agitated and go into defensive mode as Victoria scolds him for deceit.

How will John talk his way out of this? Will he manage to keep his sister onside?

Viewers have been given a warning by Emmerdale that the character John is extremely dangerous. But just how much will he go to keep his deadly actions hidden?

3. Liam Cavanagh is attacked

In a state of alarm, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) discovers Liam unconscious on the ground and signals for help.

In a hurry, Liam’s fiancee, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), along with her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), quickly exit The Woolpack upon learning about Liam being assaulted.

But who has hurt Liam, and will he survive?

This recent event transpired mere weeks following Liam’s confrontation with Ella Forster (Paula Lane), whom viewers have since discovered, was not guilty of bothering Liam or spiking Chas with drugs.

John was the true culprit, and he’s had a few run-ins with boss Liam too.

Is John behind this, or might Ella have won her freedom and gone looking for revenge?

4. Billy Fletcher airs suspicions over Dawn Fletcher affair

When Mack implies Dawn might have been secretly seeing Ross Barton (Michael Parr), Billy becomes obsessed with this notion and goes as far as checking Dawn’s phone, discovering, however, that she has recently altered its passcode.

As a film enthusiast, I find myself growing more and more suspicious with each passing scene. Despite my own relationship with Dawn, I can’t help but fuel Billy’s theories about Ross. It’s like watching a movie where the plot thickens, and I can’t look away.

Billy has an argument with Ross, and at that moment, Dawn enters to find them quarreling. When their dispute catches the attention of little Clemmie, Billy becomes embarrassed as she sees him questioning Dawn’s honesty.

Clemmie wants nothing to do with him, and Billy concludes that he was wrong about Dawn.

Joe comforts Billy, but when Billy is grateful, Joe feels guilty to be the true cause of his pain.

At Home Farm, Billy bids farewell. Joe consoles a remorseful Dawn, reassuring her that this is what’s best. Billy offers an apology to Ross, who advises Billy not to allow his troubles with Dawn to disrupt his relationship with the children.

Billy takes a trip to Home Farm, carrying flowers for Dawn and an apology for his accusations about the affair. As guilt swells within Dawn, both of them find themselves needing to share the difficult news of their separation with their kids.

Clemmie continues to keep a cautious eye on Billy, as Lucas inquires if Billy will once more spend the night. The duo, Billy and Dawn, share their story of separation, leaving Billy speechless upon realizing he must part ways with his kids by moving away.

I, as a compassionate friend, have graciously offered Billy the use of my holiday cottage until he manages to secure his own living space. However, I can’t help but wonder if it’s just a matter of time before he uncovers the truth about Joe and Dawn.

5. Sarah Sugden vents her fury over Kammy Hadiq and Jacob Gallagher’s race

In a turn of events, Kammy Hadiq (portrayed by Shebz Miah) and Jacob Gallagher (played by Joe-Warren Plant) find themselves on the receiving end of Sarah’s displeasure due to their dirt bike race. Sarah warns Kammy that if he persists with this activity, their relationship could come to an end.

Kammy challenges Jacob over his disclosure about the upcoming race, emphasizing that the situation has become a matter between just the two of them. Following this discussion, they both confirm that the race will proceed once more.

In a different phrasing, Emma Atkins’ character (Charity) and James Hooton’s character (Sam Dingle) aid Jacob in getting ready, while Cain supports Kammy in return, as he appears on the scene.

In a wager about the racer’s victory, Cain and Charity found themselves rooting for Kammy as he surged into the lead. However, an impediment suddenly appeared, allowing Jacob to seize the opportunity and overtake him instead.

In simpler terms, instead of taking ‘the devil’s leap’, Jacob hesitated, which gave Kammy enough time to successfully perform the jump. However, Jacob ended up falling, and when Kammy tried to assist him, Jacob angrily pushed him away.

While Sarah is considering choosing between Kammy and Jacob, Vanessa Woodfield (played by Michelle Hardwick) offers her advice.

Later on, Sarah gets to the starting point, all set to take off. Despite Kammy triumphantly winning the race, his happiness diminishes upon seeing Sarah’s fury.

Will Sarah dump Kammy, and how will Jacob fare when she catches up with him?

6. Gabby Thomas is alarmed over Vinny Dingle’s sudden outburst

Vinny has a sudden outburst, telling Gabby he doesn’t want to be a dad.

This leaves Gabby perplexed, but can she get to the bottom of Vinny’s behaviour?

Could it be that Vinny is experiencing some hesitation now that he and Gabby, along with her son Thomas Tate, are living under the same roof for the first time?

Or has something else happened?
