For a price of $379, the 8GB 5060 Ti model is available, while its 16GB counterpart costs $429. Next month, we’ll be offering an RTX 5060 with 8GB of VRAM at a more affordable price of $299.

It is yet unclear if the prices will continue at their current levels, given that the majority of NVIDIA’s graphics processors have experienced a price increase since they were initially released.

Given that NVIDIA’s other RTX 50-series GPUs have been in short supply, it’s clear that securing the budget-friendly XX60 models won’t be an easy task.

Should you buy an RTX 5060 Ti?

I prefer waiting for actual reviews of the RTX 5060 Ti, which will be officially published, before giving definite purchase suggestions.

In the unveiling of its 5060 Ti, NVIDIA emphasized impressive performance enhancements. Specifically, they highlighted their innovative Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 4 Multi Frame Generation (MFG), which has the potential to nearly double the frame rates in demanding games as compared to the 4060 Ti.

In a resolution of 1440p, NVIDIA demonstrates that the GeForce GTX 5060 Ti can surpass 160 frames per second (FPS) when playing Hogwarts Legacy, though this is with 4 times Multi-Frame Sampling (MFS) activated.

In 2025, it’s expected that the 16GB variant of the 5060 Ti graphics card will be preferred among enthusiasts, given their concerns about insufficient video memory (VRAM) when purchasing a new GPU with only 8GB at that time.

On the other hand, the 8GB RTX 5060 Ti might prove impressive, particularly due to its innovative GDDR7 memory, which represents a significant upgrade compared to the GDDR6 found in the 4060 Ti model.

Remember that AMD’s Radeon RX 9070, equipped with 16GB VRAM, was initially launched at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $550. However, prices have increased slightly since then. Despite this, it outperforms the RTX 5070 in terms of raw performance.

Regardless of the circumstances, NVIDIA’s 60-series graphics cards have consistently been highly preferred choices, with the RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 continuing to lead Steam’s GPU hardware rankings.
