Brittany Cartwright is embracing her new chapter.

After parting ways with her former husband, Jax Taylor, last year (they share a 3-year-old son named Cruz), the 36-year-old had a short-lived romance with one of his friends. For her, this relationship served as a means to rediscover herself.

Brittany told TopMob News in an exclusive chat, “People keep saying I dated Jax’s friend,” she explained, but what actually happened was, “We were casually seeing each other a bit. However, it’s important to note that he played a significant role in helping me regain my confidence and feel desired again. After enduring a relationship where I felt devalued and mistreated for such a long time, Jax was instrumental in revitalizing me.

To clarify, although Brittany openly acknowledges having a few crushes, she’s in no hurry to jump into a relationship immediately.

She clarified, “I prefer to proceed gradually in any situation. Extremely slowly, actually, as I need time for my own healing. However, I also want to enjoy the journey and find some excitement because I believe I deserve it. I’m aiming for that fluttery feeling of butterflies.

It’s particularly difficult when you don’t fully trust the person you’re co-parenting with. However, I believe he cares deeply about their son, and I think he wants what’s best for him. That aspect is secure, but there are several other areas where things aren’t going smoothly.

In fact, Jax has been open about his recovery from addiction, placing a strong emphasis on his focus on mental wellness as well.

Brittany told TopMob, “I observe him making efforts for self-improvement, which I value. However, I haven’t noticed significant changes when we’re alone, and that makes things challenging.

However, regarding the possibility of her and Jax, who they dated for a long time, returning to the relationship they had before, The Valley’s star expresses doubts.
