Back in 2013, I stumbled upon a trio of talented ladies, fondly known as Monday, during our sixth form years. The band comprises Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele – lifelong friends who’ve kept their bond strong throughout the years.

This threesome has been performing live for audiences, as they each had careers in musical theater before transitioning into full-time band members in 2023, leaving their day jobs behind. They have graced the stages of productions like The Phantom of the Opera (starring Holly), Mary Poppins (with Charlotte) and Matilda (performed by Lauren).

From their debut, Remember Monday has put out two EPs and twelve singles, and made an appearance on The Voice in 2019. Notably, they received guidance from Jennifer Hudson during the show, a relationship that still includes her mentoring and encouragement.

At the moment, they boast a significant presence on social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, amassing a total of 651,000 followers collectively.

What has Remember Monday said about representing the UK at Eurovision 2025?

When they were announced as this year’s UK act, Remember Monday exclaimed: “We can hardly believe it! This whole thing feels like a dream. Our bond dates back so long, and we never thought we’d find ourselves in a situation like this.

As children, when people asked us what we wanted to become when we grew up, a popular answer was “I want to be a pop star.” Now, it’s incredible that as three friends, we get to experience this dream come true. We are about to become the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like an extraordinary honor.

At their live Eurovision performance event, the band shared: “We’ve been making an effort to stay focused on the moment. Anyone we’ve spoken to who has previously participated in Eurovision or our team has simply advised us to approach each day as it arrives. It’s quite comforting because now Eurovision doesn’t feel like just May 17th.

It’s essentially the whole journey and all the experiences from before until now. It’s incredibly unbelievable and delightful. We feel incredibly fortunate to be involved in it.
