In its ongoing video tutorials about Blades of Fire, MercurySteam recently explored the assortment of damage types. There are seven weapon categories, each featuring various sub-types. However, these weapons generally inflict either slash, pierce, or blunt damage. Interestingly, certain weapons can adaptably switch between slashing and piercing depending on specific situations.
The importance of different damage types lies in their effectiveness against specific foes. When an enemy’s aura is green, your chosen weapon will be highly effective, resulting in swift battles. However, if the aura is red, your weapon may not work as well, leading to prolonged fights.
In the story, Adso, who travels alongside the main character Arin, turns out to be quite beneficial, keeping track of enemy details. Defeat enough of these adversaries, and he’ll offer insights into their history, tactics, potential dangers, and so forth. Additionally, by vanquishing a specific quantity of foes, you can uncover a Crafting Manual for a particular weapon, enabling you to manufacture a new weapon of the same kind.
On May 22nd, Blades of Fire is set to release across platforms including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game promises a substantial playtime of approximately 60 to 80 hours. For further insights into the blacksmithing process, click here.
