Today marks the commencement of an exciting new event in the Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. Players now have the opportunity to secure two fresh promo cards, along with other intriguing prizes. In this round, cards inspired by Riolu and Pachirisu have been introduced, which can be discovered using Wonder Picks. The event continues until April 25th at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
Besides these new cards, a variety of other items have been made accessible and can be obtained through shop tickets. Most of these newly available items emphasize Riolu and its advanced form, Lucario. The following items are up for grabs:
– Items focusing on Riolu
– Items focusing on Lucario (evolved form of Riolu)
- Lucario Card Sleeves (5 tickets)
- Lucario & Riolu Playmat (10 tickets)
- Lucario Pokemon Coin (5 tickets)
- Cynthia Icon (2 tickets)
- Lucario & Riolu Backdrop (3 tickets)
- Lucario & Riolu Cover (3 tickets)
- Stage Frame Backdrop (3 tickets)
It’s likely that players will find they have ample time to collect all these items before the event concludes. Many players may be employing Fighting-type decks during the ongoing Pawmot Drop Event, and pairing this with a Lucario card could make for an appealing customization choice. While it isn’t necessary to use Lucario, it would certainly create an effective duo if you do. It’s worth mentioning that the design on the card sleeves aligns with the one displayed on the Playmat and Cover. However, since Riolu is too small, the developers are only labeling it as a Lucario Card Sleeve.
Playing Pokemon TCG Pocket daily isn’t a major commitment, but it’s another reason to do so. It’s refreshing to see the developers providing additional free content, allowing players to personalize their decks and showcase their cards without having to shell out extra cash. Although Pokemon TCG Pocket has numerous methods for encouraging spending, the game still offers a wealth of content for those who prefer the free route.
At the moment, there’s no word on what follows Shining Revelry, the latest expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket. Given that Shining Revelry was released on March 27th, it might be some time in May or later before we see the next set of cards. There are still many Pokemon yet to appear in the mobile game, and several mechanics from the physical TCG that haven’t been implemented. Towards the end of this year, Mega Evolution will resurface in the card game, coinciding with the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s possible that we might witness Mega Evolution being introduced in Pokemon TCG Pocket at some point this year; however, it remains speculation until an official announcement is made.
