Country Star Thomas Rhett Performs on Broken Ankle, Leaves Show in Wheelchair

Thomas Rhett knows how to smile through the pain.

Prior to his unexpected performance at Forrest Frank’s concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on April 13, the country music artist suffered a fall and subsequently exited the venue in a wheelchair.

Occasionally, you simply need to perform at a Forest Frank concert and end up spraining your ankle, Thomas humorously stated in his April 15 Instagram video. Tonight, I really put my heart and soul into Tennessee.

In the video, you’ll notice that Forrest takes his fans by surprise as he invites his “Nothing Else” collaborator on stage during the performance, asking playfully, “Shall I not attempt Thomas Rhett’s verse?

Next, the camera moved towards a seemingly unconcerned Thomas seated in a deserted part of the stadium near the stage’s side. However, as he descended the stairs, it became apparent that he had stumbled and twisted his ankle, only to swiftly regain his composure.

Despite hobbling onto the stage, he delivered an animated performance, leaping about despite his discomfort. However, mere moments after he had poured all of his energy into the show, his wife, Lauren Akins – mother to Willa Gray (9), Ada James (7), Lennon Love (5) and Lillie Carolina (3) with the musician – was seen wheeling him around the arena in a wheelchair.

“@hiforrest told me to pull up,” Thomas captioned the video, “and I left in a wheelchair.”

It turns out that Kelsea Ballerini, like Thomas, wasn’t immune to the perils of live performances. In fact, she recently took a tumble from a moving stage while performing Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” at the final stop of her tour’s North American leg in Toronto.

Similar to Thomas, the 31-year-old didn’t skip a beat after falling from the rising platform. The “Cowboys Cry Too” singer quickly sat up and carried on singing with a chuckle, transforming her fall into an elegant pose. Although the crowd let out a shocked gasp, she sang the words, “I’ll be okay,” continuing to deliver an outstanding performance in her coordinating turquoise boots and bodysuit.

It’s possible that the artist who sings “Dibs” and has been dating Chase Stokes from the series “Outer Banks” since 2023 has experienced some misfortunes during concerts. In fact, there was an incident in June 2023 when she had to momentarily halt her performance after getting hit in the face by something thrown onto the stage.

She requested a conversation regarding the recent events, addressing the gathering during the Idaho performance. Her primary concern was ensuring everyone’s safety. If anyone ever felt unsafe, she urged them to communicate this to those nearby.

Join me as we continue to explore the list of artists who unfortunately suffered injuries due to objects thrown by the audience.

During their tour in California, one of the Jonas Brothers requested that fans cease from tossing items onto the stage because two bracelets nearly struck him, causing him to issue an SOS for help.

It appears there was some misunderstanding, as Cardi B clearly showed her displeasure when a spectator from the front row spilled their drink on her during her performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas on July 29. In response, she tossed her microphone.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated that an anonymous woman reported an incident of battery the following day, but no arrest or citations have been made so far. On August 3, Cardi B’s legal team informed TMZ that the police have decided not to press charges against the artist.

Baby, Bebe Rexha is going to have an incredible night, regardless of what transpires. In her June show in NYC, she was hit by a phone thrown by an attendee, which left her with an injured eye. She later shared a picture and wrote, “I’m good.”

Lawyer Todd A Spodek, representing Nicolas Malvagna who was charged with assault, explained to TMZ that Malvagna, as a fan, just wanted Rexha to take photos with his phone as a souvenir and had no intention of causing her injury.

Kelsea Ballerini wasn’t particularly charmed when someone tossed jewelry onto the stage during her June performance in Idaho. She shared on Instagram Stories a few days later that a bracelet was thrown and it hit her in the eyes, causing more fear than actual pain.

Ava Max, known for her hit song “Sweet but Psycho”, expressed her feelings towards the individual who attacked her during a Los Angeles performance in June. She stated on Twitter that he struck her so forcefully it left a scratch on the inside of her eye. She made it clear that this person is banned from attending any future shows of hers.

Pink, while performing at the British Summer Time Festival in London last June, found it quite endearing when someone tossed a wheel of Brie her way amidst her singing. “What the heck,” she exclaimed, as she grabbed the dairy. “I’d love to give you a kiss on the lips.”

However, we can’t help but wonder why another fan threw a bag of ashes at her the following day. “Is this your mom?” Pink queried. “I’m not quite sure how to react to this situation.

In the course of my recent world tour, Love on Tour, I found myself dodging an assortment of objects that were hurled at me, one such instance being a puzzling handful of Skittles during a 2022 concert in Los Angeles. Later, a representative from the Skittles brand took to Twitter, appealing to fans not to throw their beloved rainbow-flavored candies.

At a February 2022 performance of “Lost Cause” by Billie Eilish, an audience member threw a pair of fake breasts on stage. However, demonstrating her composure under challenging circumstances, the seven-time Grammy winner effortlessly tossed them back to the crowd and continued with her show.

friends, let me clarify, Kid Cudi had previously warned the audience at his 2022 Rolling Loud performance that if they threw anything more on stage, he would leave. Unfortunately, moments later, he was hit with another item, causing him to follow through on his promise and exit the stage.

Fans of Ariana Grande were left disappointed when a lemon was thrown at her during her Coachella performance in 2019. Although the incident clearly bothered her, she handled it gracefully by jokingly addressing the crowd, “Someone tossed a lemon at me, yuck!
