The opening act of AEW Dynamite was marked by an eagerly awaited clash between Mercedes Mone and Athena, yet the night offered more than just this standout moment. Following a heated backstage encounter between Hangman Page and Okada, curiosity swirled about who would face Hangman in the ring next. For a while now, it’s been rumored that Alexander is under contract with AEW, but he hadn’t made his first appearance yet. That wait is over, and what a way to start than facing off against one of AEW’s most cherished figures – Hangman Page.

In the quarterfinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament, Alexander made an impressive entrance. At a certain moment, he powerfully thrust Page’s back onto the ring apron and subsequently leapt from the ropes, performing a daring crossbody that propelled Page towards the ground.
Unfortunately, it was Alexander who missed out on the win, paving the way for Page to challenge Kyle Fletcher instead. However, things weren’t quite over yet. During this, Don Callis started talking to Alexander, which led to an unexpected turn of events. Alexander ended up attacking Page, leaving him unconscious in the middle of the ring. It seems that Alexander might be Callis’ latest venture, and if so, it could spell trouble for Page in the future.
During the recent revival of TNA, Alexander was a key figure, charging ahead fearlessly as the TNA World Champion, overcoming any obstacles that crossed his path. After suffering an injury, he made a comeback with the hope of reclaiming the Title, although this goal remained unfulfilled. However, on Twitter, Alexander expressed how much he treasured the past six years in TNA.
Over the past six years at TNA, I’ve had an incredible experience. I’ve formed friendships that will last a lifetime, some of whom I now consider part of my family. During this time, my wife was employed by the company as a Ring Announcer for a few years, allowing us to travel the world together. Our 6-year-old son, Jett, has grown up knowing his dad as a TNA wrestler. I am deeply appreciative of the chances I’ve been given here to demonstrate my abilities. Moreover, I owe a debt of gratitude for the guidance and coaching I received over the years, without which I wouldn’t be the wrestler I am today.
I appreciate each one of you – from the team behind production, the talented individuals, and especially our dedicated fans. You’ve granted me, a dreamer, an opportunity to discover my identity. Now I understand who I am and what I can do – honestly, that’s anything. I’m tenacious, and while I may not have extraordinary natural athletic ability, my relentless work ethic and burning passion make up for it. I strive to be the best.” (Alexander’s message, rephrased)
