11-bit Studios, the creators of Frostpunk, have revealed that there’s more to come in the Frostpunk series in the near future, following its PC launch last September and upcoming releases on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this year.

On top of that, they’ve got another massive project in the pipeline, aiming for a 2029 release. This one doesn’t seem to be connected to Frostpunk, so buckle up for something completely new and exciting!
Speaking as both a developer and publisher, Marszał mentioned their strategy to expand the scope and duration of their projects. This includes seizing short-term, financially profitable opportunities. As a result, they’ve started work on the next game within the Frostpunk universe, aiming for a 2027 release. Simultaneously, they’ve begun developing a larger project which is scheduled to be released in 2029.
It’s likely that the Frostpunk game will be a smaller project given that Frostpunk 2 was recently released. The specifics are yet to be determined, but fans of the post-apocalyptic city-building survival series from 11 bit studios have much to look forward to.
The sequel to Frostpunk, titled “Frostpunk 2,” can currently be played on personal computers, having been purchased by more than half a million gamers as of last November. The title is set to debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this summer.
