Many video games throughout history have been met with mediocre reviews upon release due to game-breaking bugs, a scarcity of content, or unjustified criticism before they reached stores. In today’s era, though, it’s become quite common for developers to update their games post-release in order to fulfill the potential promised before launch. While this practice doesn’t excuse initial disappointments, it does mean that some games which fell flat at first may deserve a second look. Here are fifteen such games.
Cyberpunk 2077
It’s worth mentioning that Cyberpunk 2077 has significantly improved since its initial release in 2020, which was marred by issues and compared to a high-profile game launch disaster. CD Projekt Red has been diligently working on updates, resulting in a playable Night City with enhancements across various aspects such as combat, netrunning, skill progression, cyberware integration, vehicle handling, and more. Adding to this, the Phantom Liberty DLC adds an extra layer of thrill to the game, making it safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
