Nvidia unveiled the debut of mid-tier GPUs within its latest RTX 50-series graphics cards lineup: specifically, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Additionally, the tech giant revealed plans for the release of the RTX 5060 model, scheduled for availability in May.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited about the upcoming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. This graphics card is designed to cater to the entry-level gaming market, but don’t let its position fool you. It shares many of the impressive features with its more powerful siblings, such as the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090.
Just like them, it’s built on the advanced Blackwell RTX architecture. Additionally, it supports the entire lineup of DLSS 4 features that made their grand entrance this year, including Multi Frame Generation. I can hardly wait to experience its performance!
In a performance comparison chart with previous generation graphics cards, the RTX 5060 Ti outperforms its counterparts such as the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 4060 Ti in several popular games like “Hogwarts Legacy”, “Black Myth: Wukong”, and “Cyberpunk 2077”. When graphics settings are set at maximum for these games at a resolution of 1440p, with DLSS 4 enabled, the RTX 5060 Ti can deliver frame rates approximately double that of the RTX 4060 Ti and nearly four times more than the RTX 3060 Ti.
Nvidia unveiled plans to launch the GeForce RTX 5060 in May, which boasts solid performance across numerous games, albeit less powerful compared to its Ti counterpart. As stated by Nvidia, graphics-intensive titles such as “Alan Wake 2,” “Cyberpunk 2077,” and “Star Wars Outlaws” are expected to achieve over 100 frames per second on this upcoming GPU.
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti boasts fourth-generation RT cores capable of performing 72 trillion floating point operations per second, and will come in both 8 GB and 16 GB VRAM versions. The 8 GB version retails at $379, while the 16 GB model costs $429. Both editions are currently available for purchase.
The RTX 5060 comes at a price point of $299, delivering 58 TFLOPS of computational power through its RT cores, and will offer 8 GB of VRAM. Furthermore, these latest graphics cards incorporate support for modern hardware technologies such as PCI Express Gen 5.
This year, Nvidia initially revealed its RTX 50-series graphics cards collection, including the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090. The most expensive model in this series, the RTX 5090, retails at $1,999 and boasts a massive 32 GB of VRAM, a memory bandwidth of 1,792 GB/sec, 21,760 CUDA cores, 680 fifth-generation Tensor cores, and 170 fourth-generation RT cores.
At CES 2025, Nvidia introduced a new version of its DLSS software suite – now called DLSS 4. This innovation enhances the Frame Generation feature from DLSS 3 by employing Multi Frame Generation, which produces three extra frames for every single frame produced by the hardware.
