Mario Kart World Introduces Rewind, Time Trials and VS Race Also Revealed

In the realm of Mario Kart, the latest installment, Mario Kart World, brings about some novel elements for the franchise. For instance, Free Roam and interconnected races in Grand Prix are debuts. Moreover, it’s incorporating Rewind, a feature reminiscent of games such as Forza and DIRT. This Rewind feature enables you to revert back to an earlier position if you commit an error, offering you another chance to get it right.

There are some limitations to using this feature: It can only be utilized during Free Roam sessions and when playing alone (without online companions). Also, the Rewind function does not impact other players, which means it’s more perilous in real-time races.

As an enthusiast, I’ve recently picked up on a fresh move that players have been quick to master – the Charge Jump! To perform this trick, simply hold down the Drift button while driving straight. This maneuver is not only perfect for leaping over obstacles and evading attacks, but it also allows you to initiate a wall ride with ease.

In addition to Grand Prix, Time Trials and Head-to-Head Races are back. Time Trials enable single-player racing on various tracks, with the option to download the data of other players for practice. Head-to-Head Races offer customizable rulesets, such as the number of tracks, routes, and more. This update supports up to 24 players in multiplayer mode, making it possible for four teams of six to compete simultaneously for the first time.
