Brandi Glanville’s medical expenses are racking up.
Previously featured on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” this individual has been grappling with an enigmatic facial growth for close to two years now. She revealed that her efforts to address this elusive health issue have taken a substantial toll on her financial resources.
In the interview with Us Weekly, published on April 16, she stated that she has run out of money, and her debt is now more than six figures.
Without a doubt, once Brandi, aged 52, had depleted her health insurance coverage limits, she calculated that she personally spent more than $113,000 to obtain treatment for her puzzling illness.
She went on to say, “Right now, I lack the resources to travel, but you can find me online daily, exploring various topics. It’s tiring, it takes up all my time.
The television personality who has two sons, Mason (age 21) and Jake (age 18), with her former husband Eddie Cibrian, mentioned that whatever appears to be affecting her facial features seems to have expanded as well.
She described the sensation as “moving from my neck, through my left shoulder, and down my arm.” She went on to say that she needs to stand up, stretch, and soak in a hot tub. She has a regular routine, but she finds it unpleasant.
In her ongoing search for solutions, Brandi expressed a desire to assist those experiencing similar symptoms too.
She desperately seeks a physician who genuinely prioritizes assisting her, as well as other women and men who have endured this hardship for an extended period. She’s had a few men connect with her, empathizing deeply because she understands the crushing burden they carry in their minds, fearing it might burst.
Brandi began chronicling her health story since 2023 when the condition initially appeared. In January, she revealed that she sought assistance from the renowned doctor on Botched, Dr. Terry Dubrow. This expert performed four biopsies on her face and neck with the aim of finding a solution to the problem.
“I was in and out [in] 30 minutes,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter) at the time. “Now we wait.”

As a seasoned lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself sharing an unexpected health journey back in April 2025. You see, my dear readers, I had to undergo surgery due to a close call with an almost-burst appendix. Quite the adventure, indeed!
A week ago, Brian shared on Instagram that he began experiencing abdominal discomfort. The situation worsened, leading him to visit the hospital emergency room where they found his appendix was about to rupture, not completely, but nearly so.

Adam Devine revealed that the injuries he suffered following a collision with a cement truck at age 11 continue to impact him up until now.
In a recent conversation on the “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” podcast, I found myself using a phrase that might be unexpected: “It’s been a nightmare.” The reason for this is quite intense. I’ve been experiencing persistent muscle spasms throughout my body. At one point, the medical professionals I consulted with gave me grim news—they suggested that I was facing imminent mortality, literally within the last year.
He mentioned that pain appears intermittently, implying, “There are certain issues with my body that aren’t quite right.
Previously part of Bachelor Nation, this individual revealed that he sought medical attention at the hospital after being in severe back pain so intense he had to crawl on hands and knees. This distressing backache worsened during a recreational vehicle excursion with a companion.
Currently, there’s a strange tingling sensation from my knees to my toes, which is quite unexpected, he shared during the March 24th episode of his Trading Secrets podcast. To give you an idea, about two or three weeks ago, I was doing squats with around 295 pounds. Now, I can’t even do a squat on one leg; if I try, I fall over. It feels as though I’ve had a stroke or something similar. But I don’t mean to sound arrogant when I say this.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”
In a game held in December 2024, an AHL player got hurt when another player’s skate accidentally sliced him open. He needed 25 stitches to close the wound. I wouldn’t wish that experience on any parent.

On the next day, the entertainer posted on social media about his situation, mentioning it was caused by food poisoning and he was getting better.
Back in February 2025, I, an over-the-moon fan here, had the heart-stopping experience of learning that Even Stevens’ beloved star took a bullet to the face while we were out celebrating hubby Brendan Rooney’s birthday by blasting clay pigeons. Quite a memorable birthday bash, wouldn’t you agree?
In a post on Instagram, she shared that there was another group with us, and they accidentally discharged their firearm incorrectly, striking me in the face. Immediately, @thebrendanrooney reacted swiftly, evaluated my injuries, and transported me to the hospital. I was wounded in five spots, one of which was just a inch away from directly hitting my right eye.
The actress from Kim Possible added, “Regrettably, a piece became stuck near my eye, and it’s not safe for surgeons to extract it now. However, I can see clearly as of now, and doctors are keeping a close watch on me.
The actress expressed her heartfelt gratitude for being alive. She went on to say, “My daughters, husband, family, and friends mean the world to me. A moment ago, I felt as if I was glimpsing my life’s journey, and let me tell you, cherish the people close to you whenever you get the opportunity. Life has a habit of changing unexpectedly.
In a surprising turn of events, Amy Schumer is grateful that the internet, which isn’t always friendly, provided her with valuable insights during a challenging time. Recounting an episode on “Call Her Daddy” in January 2025, she shared how the internet was initially critical, but then doctors started commenting and suggested she might have Cushing syndrome. Initially taken aback by being trolled by medical professionals, she later realized that their comments could save her from potential health issues.
After receiving comments from these doctors who suspected Cushing syndrome due to elevated cortisol levels or steroid injections, Amy recalled having received such injections for her scars following a breast reduction and C-section. Upon this realization, she linked her symptoms to the steroid injections she had been receiving.
In essence, Amy’s health issue went undetected if not for the harsh comments from the internet. As she shared in her February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, discovering that she had a type of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own and that she was healthy was the best news she could have imagined.
Hailey Bieber had a terrifying incident in March 2022, during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber, when she began experiencing symptoms similar to a stroke. She recounted the event on YouTube a month later, explaining that she couldn’t respond or speak properly, and her right side of the face drooped. Fortunately, the symptoms subsided, but Hailey was taken to the hospital to ensure her well-being.
Upon examination, doctors discovered a small blood clot in her brain, which they classified as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Further investigations at the University of California, Los Angeles revealed that she had a hole in her heart called patent foramen ovale (PFO). Hailey explained that the blood clot traveled to her heart, escaped through the PFO, and reached her brain, causing the TIA.
After undergoing a successful PFO closure procedure, Hailey reported feeling well again.
During the same year when Hailey had her health issue, Justin also faced one of his own. In June 2022, the “Baby” singer announced he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that led to temporary facial paralysis and caused him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In an Instagram video, Justin explained that this virus affected the nerve in his ear and his facial nerves, causing paralysis on one side of his face. He couldn’t blink one eye, smile on half of his face, or move his nostril on the affected side. The condition made it progressively harder for him to eat, but eventually, the paralysis subsided.
Hailey shared on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that Justin was doing well and feeling much better. Although it was a scary and unexpected situation, she was grateful he would recover completely.
Jamie Foxx initially chose to keep secret the details of his hospitalization in April 2023. However, later on, he spoke openly about his ordeal during his 2024 Netflix special titled “What Had Happened Was…”. In Atlanta, he recalled experiencing a severe headache and asking for an aspirin. Unfortunately, before he could obtain the medication, he fainted and lost consciousness for approximately 20 days.
Initially examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone shot and sent him home, Foxx’s concerned sister Deidra Dixon then drove him to a hospital, where they discovered that he had suffered a brain bleed leading to a stroke. After undergoing surgery on the 20th day of his hospital stay, Foxx woke up on May 4 in a wheelchair and was unable to walk. He subsequently traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
“I want to express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “as I truly needed each one of them.
In 2019, actress Emilia Clarke penned an essay titled “A Battle for My Life” in The New Yorker, after filming intense battle scenes for Game of Thrones.
One day at the gym, she fell ill and wrote, “I was violently sick, my headache worsening. At some level, I knew something was wrong: my brain was injured.”
She was rushed to the hospital for a scan, where doctors diagnosed her with a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a critical type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding the brain. She had an aneurysm, an arterial rupture.
Emilia underwent immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, describing the pain as “overwhelming.” During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia and spoke incoherently.
A week later, her aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital a month after admission.
In 2013, another brain scan revealed a growth had doubled in size, requiring additional surgery. She wrote, “When I woke up, I was screaming in pain. The initial procedure had failed; I needed emergency surgery again, this time through my skull.”
Thankfully, Emilia is now fully recovered and in good health.

When she informed them about the incident, they immediately rallied to her aid. As reported by TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024, she texted them about her condition and sent them a picture. Everyone swiftly responded to help her.
Due to additional health issues, Cori had to remain hospitalized for longer than anticipated after the stroke. She stated, “I could have left the hospital after my stroke, but my lupus wasn’t cooperating. My kidneys were failing. There was a lot happening.”
Today, she is making progress in her recovery. “I’m doing well,” she added. “My motor skills needed some work, but other than that, I was okay.
In her 20s, the actress Shailene Woodley‘s health took a turn for the worse. To the point where she started losing her hearing, struggling to walk without needing long periods of rest, and experiencing stomach pain with everything she ate. This was a complex mix of health problems and conflicting diagnoses from different doctors.
Determined to find answers, Shailene – who has a background in holistic medicine and herbalism – sought advice from both traditional medical professionals and independent healers. This quest for understanding spanned over a decade.
During this time, the stress of physical discomfort led to other issues such as fearing food due to stomach pain, which then resulted in mental struggles like body dysmorphia, identity confusion, and feeling unsafe in her own skin.
Thankfully, after addressing both her physical and mental health concerns, Shailene is now much better. She shared that her health eventually improved, leaving her healthy and happy today.
