A brief teaser was recently released, with the full trailer coming later on May 5, following the finale of NCIS Season 22.
It’s been made clear that the upcoming spin-off of deviates from the original timeline, set in a past decade rather than current times. This change aims to provide insights for viewers who may recall when Ziva went missing and Tony learned about their daughter he didn’t know existed before. The new series will delve into the events following their reunion years later. Recently, Entertainment Tonight has given fans a sneak peek at this series.
Earlier, Pablo had expressed his anticipation about rejoining Weatherly, hinting at a fresh timeline and revealing the rationale behind setting the narrative for Tony and Ziva in this manner.
It’s been seven years since we last encountered these characters, and it seems the audience has been eagerly waiting to find out their subsequent events. In our upcoming season, we aim to satiate that curiosity by shedding light on their post-2013 lives.
The cast of NCIS: Tony & Ziva also features Lara Rossi (known for her roles in The Watch and Flesh and Bone) as Sophie, Tali’s nanny trained by the SAS; Amita Suman (recognized from Shadow and Bone) as Claudette, the CTO at Tony’s company; Maximilian Osinski (familiar from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Boris, a skilled Russian ex-pat computer hacker; James D’Arcy (known for his roles in Marvel’s Agent Carter) as Henry, a senior Interpol official with a career dedicated to tracking international criminals; Nassima Benchicou (recognized from ASKIP) as Martine, a former intelligence agent with the Directorate-General for External Security; Julian Ovenden (familiar from Bridgerton) as Jonah, a former NSA programmer who is now Secretary General of Interpol; and Terence Maynard (known from Ridley) as Dr. Lang, a therapist specializing in patients with severe traumas.
‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ Is Coming This Fall
In a departure from the established narrative of the NCIS series, the relationship between Tony and Ziva will present an entirely new dynamic. Previously hinted by Paramount+, this spin-off suggests their adventure is only beginning, opening up opportunities for additional tales to unfold in the coming years.
Ziva faked her own death before leaving the show, leaving Tony to raise their daughter on his own. Despite the possibility of them getting back together, building a life together is going to be quite difficult.
In NCIS, Tony and Ziva are a team, raising their daughter Tali. When Tony’s security firm gets attacked, they are forced to flee across Europe, trying to identify the culprits while also rebuilding trust in each other. Their journey might lead them towards a unique and unconventional happily ever after.
