Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial will be moving forward as planned.
Despite the rapper’s legal team attempting to postpone his trial scheduled for jury selection on May 5 by two months, Judge Arun Subramanian declined their request. He explained that the request was submitted too near the trial commencement, according to Reuters.
According to Combs’ legal team, they asked for more time to thoroughly examine certain pieces of evidence. However, when delivering his verdict, Subramanian expressed doubt about why more time was needed to prepare.
Consequently, the jury selection process commences on the initial Monday of May, and opening statements will ensue a week afterwards, specifically on May 12. In addition to numerous other legal complications, Combs is set to confront federal accusations during his forthcoming trial.
As a devoted follower, I’m sharing an update about a man who is a father to seven children. In September, he was taken into custody, facing five allegations: racketeering, sex trafficking through force or coercion, fraud, and transportation for prostitution. He has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York since then. He has pleaded not guilty to these federal charges, and continues to assert his innocence, not only for these accusations but also for other sexual assault cases that have surfaced over the past few months.
Recently this month, federal prosecutors have levied two extra accusations against Combs. One of these additional charges is added to his existing sex trafficking charge, while the other strengthens his transportation charge for prostitution. The new charges are based on allegations from 2021 to 2024, as suggested in an indictment acquired by NBC News.
In the recently filed charges, another unidentified individual, herein called Victim-2, is mentioned. Combs allegedly tried to facilitate, assisted, and knowingly made Victim-2 participate in sexual services trade through the use of force, deceit, or threats.
Subsequently, the indictment alleges that Combs intentionally arranged for numerous people, which included Victim-2 and sex workers, to be transported across state and international borders several times, with the aim that they would engage in prostitution.
Following the issuance of the indictment, Combs’ legal team stressed that these extra charges do not imply fresh accusations against him. Instead, they repeated their denial of any wrongdoing.
As one of Combs’ loyal supporters, I’d like to clarify that the individuals mentioned here are former long-term partners who were engaged in consensual relationships. Their intimate encounters were consensual, not forced or coerced. This information was shared with TopMob News by Combs’ legal team on April 4th.

Federal agents connected to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) carried out searches at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami on March 25, according to multiple law enforcement sources who spoke with NBC News. These sources added that the warrant was issued by the Southern District of New York, with HSI New York confirming they were part of an ongoing investigation, aided by HSI teams in Los Angeles, Miami, and local law enforcement partners. It was also reported that Combs was in the Miami region when the search warrants took place.
The news emerged following accusations of sexual misconduct against Combs, which were made by various individuals from November onwards in lawsuits. However, the musician has denied these allegations. In a statement posted on Instagram in December, he wrote: “Disgusting claims have been brought against me by people who are after a quick settlement. Let it be known: I am innocent of all these terrible accusations. I will defend my reputation, my family, and the truth.
On the day following the execution of search warrants at Sean Combs’ homes in L.A. and Miami, his legal representative Aaron Dyer issued a statement to TopMob News. “Yesterday saw an excessive display of force, far beyond what was necessary, during the execution of searches at Mr. Combs’ residences,” Dyer said. “There is no justification for the aggressive show of power by the authorities or the way his children and staff were handled.”
Dyer pointed out that Combs “was not detained but willingly spoke with and cooperated with the authorities.”
“Contrary to media reports, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been taken into custody or had their travel restricted in any way,” Dyer’s statement added. “The unexpected raid, combined with an organized media presence, has precipitated a hasty judgment against Mr. Combs and is merely a fishing expedition based on unfounded allegations made in civil lawsuits.
And Dyer articulated Combs’ intention to maintain his innocence, stating: “So far, there has been no determination of either criminal or civil responsibility regarding these accusations. However, Mr. Combs remains innocent and will persistently strive each day to establish his clean record.
During the searches, it’s been reported by multiple law enforcement sources who are acquainted with the warrant, that authorities from the Department of Homeland Security confiscated phones from Combs’ Miami residence prior to his planned trip to the Bahamas. Furthermore, additional sources knowledgeable about the situation indicated that firearms were found during the search.
A person with knowledge of the situation informed NBC News that four individuals – two women and two men – were questioned by prosecutors and investigators from the Southern District of New York regarding accusations involving sex trafficking, sexual misconduct, illegal drug dealing, and weapons charges allegedly linked to Combs.
On the same day that search warrants were carried out at Combs’ properties in Miami and Los Angeles, one of his associates, Brendan Paul, was detained by the Miami-Dade police on suspicion of drug possession. This information was shared with NBC News by a law enforcement source knowledgeable about the situation. According to the arrest affidavit from Miami-Dade obtained by the outlet, Paul was apprehended for allegedly holding suspected cocaine and marijuana edibles. Prison records acquired by NBC News indicate that Paul was released on bond on March 26. In a statement provided to the outlet, Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, stated, “We will not be trying this case in the media; all matters will be handled in court.” In May, Paul agreed to a plea deal, with his lawyer Bieber telling People magazine, “Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to allow him entry into the diversion program. Upon completion of this program, the case against him will be dismissed entirely.
On September 16, 2024, as reported by NBC News, he was taken into custody in the lobby of a New York hotel. The specific charges against Combs are yet to be disclosed, and it’s uncertain if this arrest is linked to any recent raids.
The lawyer for Mr. Combs expressed disappointment over the U.S. Attorney’s Office choosing to pursue a prosecution that they believe is unjust, stating this in a statement to TopMob News. They emphasized that while Mr. Combs is not perfect, he is not a criminal either. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been fully cooperative with the investigation and even moved to New York last week willingly, in preparation for these charges.
Following his arrest on a sealed indictment, the charges against Combs were made public on September 17.
The 54-year-old is accused of involvement in racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution, as per court documents obtained by NBC News.
According to the indictment, Combs allegedly exploited, threatened, and compelled women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, maintain his reputation, and conceal his actions for over a decade. The authorities claim this misconduct began approximately in 2008.
The documents state that “Combs utilized the employees, resources, and influence of the extensive business empire he oversaw and managed—creating a criminal organization whose members and affiliates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, various illegal activities such as sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
As reported by NBC News, Combs pleaded not guilty in court and was denied bail. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated before the hearing that he would fight the charges with all his strength and has the full trust of his legal team.
After his apprehension, Combs was kept at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, where he was not granted a $50 million bail. This influential figure in music industry was also put under suicide precautions, which a source revealed to TopMob News is routine for prominent prisoners. However, he has since been removed from this watch.
According to a source, he was given the same section of the prison as Sam Bankman-Fried, who is known for his involvement in cryptocurrency fraud. (NBC News)
34-year-old comedian Jeff Wittek publicly declared on September 29 that he had been present at one of Diddy’s infamous “let loose” parties, which took place around the year 2010, at a grand mansion in Miami.
On Jeff FM, Wittek described it as being roughly equivalent to eight buildings stacked atop each other, and as you ascended, things became increasingly peculiar.
That unforgettable evening left me spellbound, for it was the moment I witnessed something extraordinary – something I had never experienced before in my entire life. To put it mildly, I didn’t take part in it myself, but let’s just say that the alcohol flowed freely and found its way into my system.
As Wittek put it, “It’s just crazy. I was literally there. I lived through it.”
At a news conference held on October 1st, lawyer Tony Buzbee disclosed that a total of 120 individuals have stepped forward with fresh claims of sexual assault against the rapper.
During a press conference with NBC News, Buzbee stated that the accusations against Combs involve:
1. Sexual assault or rape of a violent nature.
2. Encouraging sexual activity while using controlled substances.
3. Sharing video recordings.
4. Abuse of minors in a sexual context.
Later, a lawyer representing rapper Erica Wolff issued a statement addressing the accusations, stressing that Combs continues to assert his innocence in the matter.
She stated, “He isn’t able to counter every groundless accusation in this escalating media spectacle. However, let me clarify, Mr. Combs strongly and unequivocally denies any allegations of sexual misconduct, specifically those involving minors, as false and defamatory.
At a press conference held on October 1st, as reported by NBC News, Tony Buzbee, the lawyer in question, stated that one of the 120 individuals who have made allegations against Combs claimed to have been just 9 years old when the alleged assaults occurred.
According to the attorney, “25 of the accusers were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.”
Janice’s lawyer, Natlie G. Figgers, expressed her sorrow in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Oct. 6, stating that it is heart-wrenching to watch her son being judged not based on truth, but on a fabricated story of lies. Witnessing what appears to be a public execution of her son before he has had his chance to demonstrate his innocence is an agony that defies description. Just like any other individual, her son deserves a fair trial, the chance to speak for himself, and the opportunity to prove his innocence.
The legal representative for Beyoncé and Jay-Z issued a statement in response to Jaguar Wright’s comment on Piers Morgan’s television show, where she suggested that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have a greater number of “victims” than Diddy.
As a die-hard fan, let me tell you, there are whispers, then there’s foolishness, but what Alex Spiro shared with TMZ on Oct. 9 is a whole new level – it’s a serious, direct allegation about something significant.
In simpler terms, “Piers was asked by their lawyer to take down the untrue claim, which he subsequently did and offered an apology.
On his October 8th program, Piers stated that at the time he made the comments, they were unable to respond or defend themselves. However, now they have responded: their legal representative has reached out to say that those allegations are completely untrue and lack any factual foundation.
In an updated lawsuit initially filed in October 2024, defendant Ashley Parkham alleges that Odell Beckham Jr., Druski, and Combs were involved in a group sexual assault against her in the year 2018, which supposedly occurred in March 2025.
Both men denied the claims.
In March 2025, Combs once more stood before the court, asserting his innocence regarding charges brought forth in an updated indictment. This indictment claimed he compelled his staff to work excessive hours and made threats against them if they didn’t comply.
Following a court mandate for a Jane Doe plaintiff to disclose her identity and resubmit a lawsuit originally filed in October 2024, which accused Combs of sexual misconduct, the case was discarded when the plaintiff failed to meet the deadline for re-filing within the allotted time.
